This is One of Just Three S2000s In Vietnam

While we typically see an S2000 at least once a day in the U.S., they aren't quite as common in places like Vietnam.

One of Three

In countries like the U.S. and Japan, seeing an S2000 roaming the streets is nothing terribly uncommon. Mainly because there are a lot of them still tooling around, enjoying the immense popularity they deserve. But in countries like Vietnam, Honda's special roadster isn't such a common sight. In fact, there are only three of them that currently live in Vietnam in total, and this modified machine recently profiled by Kien Thuc is one of them.

Track Machine

This particular blue car is joined by a black and green example in the trio of S2000s that call Vietnam home. And while we aren't sure about the other two, we can confirm that this one spends a good bit of time at the local track, dubbed Dai Nam. It also appears to have quite a few modifications to show off as well.

Changing Up

Prior to landing in the current owner's possession, this car was originally red. He had it repainted an attractive blue hue, and also added a unique front bumper and giant rear wing both for aesthetic purposes and to further aid downforce and cooling.

Few Changes

The interior hasn't changed too much, however, with just the addition of some A-pillar mounted gauges and an aftermarket steering wheel. But it's clean and attractive inside, which only accentuates the fact that this cabin has aged better than most.

More Power

The article doesn't provide a laundry list of modifications for the S2000 but does note that it produces over 300 horsepower thanks to the addition of a turbocharger and a custom tune, so we can confirm that it's most certainly a ton of fun out on the track.

Common Sentiment

There's no telling how much an S2000 would go for in Vietnam, but we imagine quite a bit, given their rarity. Regardless, the owner of this blue beauty clearly doesn't see it as some blue-chip collectible or flipping opportunity. No, he drives it as it should be driven, and that's one thing S2000 owners can all appreciate, no matter where in the world they might happen to live.
