Whirlwind Tour

Currently, the 2019 Hot Wheels Legends Tour is a little over halfway through its whirlwind tour of the United States. And when the event stopped in Bentonville, Arkansas recently, we here at Honda-Tech were there to revel in all the action.

Early Bird

Despite the typical oppressive Arkansas summer heat, there were already hundreds of eager folks lined up up a full hour before the event officially started. That included us, and we were obviously rewarded for our early rise.

Sponsor This

We were somewhat surprised to see quite a few top-notch custom Honda rides on hand. But perhaps we shouldn't have been. After all, Honda is a major sponsor of this year's Legends Tour.

Exponential Growth

Each year, the Legends Tour just continues to get bigger and bigger. Last year, Hot Wheels hosted 65,000 attendees and 3,600 cars across 15 cities.

Expanded Tour

This year, the Legends Tour is visiting 18 cities, and attendance and participation figures should grow exponentially as a result.

Eyes on the Prize

The goal, of course, is to win the overall prize. Once the Legends Tour wraps up, Hot Wheels will crown one champion from the 18 finalists at the 2019 SEMA show.

Forever Immortalized

That singular winner will then see their ride permanently immortalized in die-cast form. And who wouldn't want to brag every time they see their scaled-down car for sale on store shelves?

Full Size Toys

Thus, it's no surprise that hundreds of cars show up at each stop. But Hot Wheels also brings along a selection of their own life-size toy replicas, which is always a treat for kids and adults alike.

Original and Creative

Since originality and creativity are the main things Hot Wheels is looking for, you're bound to see some pretty wild rides. And that was certainly the case in Bentonville.
