Revolution 8 Brings Honda Movement to Baja California

South of the California U.S. border lies a town called Rosarita, Mexico, where folks are just as Honda crazed as we are.

South of the Border

Honda and California go together like wine and cheese. But while most Honda-centric shows we enjoy in the state happen on our side of the border, those just across the line in Rosarito, Mexico have their own special little get together each year known as the Revolution Car Show. This year marked the 8th time Brothers JDM has hosted the event, and Super Street was on hand to capture the whole thing on film.

Making Room

This year's Revolution show took place at Pabellon Rosarito, a modern, open-air shopping center loaded with restaurants, big box stores, and a movie theater. Parking is notoriously difficult at the popular venue, but organizers were able to carve out their own section and celebrate Honda's influence on the region.

Full Spectrum

As has been the case in previous years, a massive crowd turned out to soak it all in. Several hundred cars showed up to participate as well, with everything from mild daily drivers to full-blown race cars filling the parking lot.

Winning

A few lucky, select winners also took home a number of custom trophies for their efforts. In addition, vendors including AEM Electronics, Seibon, and Supertech donated a series of goodies that were raffled off to attendees. So at the end of the event, quite a few people walked away winners.

Heavy Hitters

One notable club attending this year's Revolution show was Heavy Hitters. The group splits their time between Mexico and the U.S., attending as many test and tune sessions and track events as they possibly can. The club is comprised mainly of high-horsepower builds, and they brought plenty of, well, heavy hitters out for our enjoyment.

Modded Duo

That included a Civic sporting an old school Edelbrock Victor X B-series manifold, nitrous, and Sheepey Race hood-exit exhaust manifold. As well as this DC2 with a K-swap, JDM front clip, carbon fiber lip and splitter, PCI side skirts, and mag blue CE28 wheels.

Green With Envy

And what would any Honda show be without at least a couple of S2000s? This particular right-hand-drive example showed up wearing a truly unique shade of green. It was also fitted with CE28 wheels, a hardtop, and a Seibon carbon fiber trunk.

Low and Smooth

Then there was this tasty-looking H22-swapped Accord. The entire engine bay has been shaved and tucked, and even the shock tower caps were trimmed to prevent the upper control arms from coming into contact with anything. Add that to an ultra-low stance, and you've got a winner in our book.

Cross the Border

All-in-all, Revolution 8 turned out to be a smashing success. So you can probably bet that next year will offer up plenty more of the same awesomeness for Honda fans. So if you're in the SoCal area and are looking for yet another cool event to attend next year, this one's well worth crossing the border to check out!
