Motul Digital Livery NSX Type S

The Send-Off

The Acura NSX Type S celebrates the mid-engine sports car's second incarnation, sending it off with a bang. The limited-edition variant of the hybrid-powered high-performance Acura comes with a series of fitting visual upgrades, as well as a bump in power. The folks at Motul have given the new NSX even more visual interest by creating these digital renders of the car with retro livery.

Up to Date

It's been a long time since we first laid eyes on the NC1 NSX. By the time production finally began for the 2016 model year, the design had already started to age in many people's eyes. Six years into the run, the car is getting a facelift, for what will be a farewell to the nameplate, at least for now. With the aesthetic update, the Acura has been given styling cues that are in line with the brand's new identity.

50th Anniversary of 300V

Helping Acura send off the legendary NSX with this awesome digital livery is Motul. The French manufacturer specializes in engine oils. And with this cool digital creation, they're also celebrating the 50th anniversary of their famous 300V race oil.

Retro Livery

There have been a number of Motul-sponsored NSX GT race cars in the past few years. But with this special creation, the designers have taken the nostalgic route. The livery takes inspiration from Motul-sponsored race cars of the past. The red and white color combo looks fantastic gracing the body lines of the NSX Type S.

Limited Run

A set of brushed gold  FMR 527M two-piece wheels round out the look. It's not very likely that a real-life example of the NSX will be given the livery, though. The Type S is going to have a very limited run of just 350 units globally, with 300 of those slated for the US. It will be interesting to see if any future owners will opt to wrap their cars with this Motul livery design.
