Hey guys just looking for some opinions. I have a B16 from a 2000 Si in my EG. Motor is stock except for JDM DC2R header and ghetto intake setup. The block will soon be replaced by an LS block with p30 pistons.

Anyway I have the chance to score a CTR Intake Cam for a real good price. Only the intake cam though. My question is am I likely to gain any power from just swapping the intake cam to CTR spec and retaining my stock B16 exhaust cam? Of course I will have the car tuned with the new cam (it has cam gears).

Also I have previously been told that GSR cams were better than B16 cams, but I found a post on here that showed the B16 and GSR exhaust cams with the same specs? So which is it? Because if the GSR exhaust cam is better I could put one in when I put in the CTR intake cam.

Yes, GSR and Civic Si Exhaust cams both have identical lift and duration. I'm running a CTR intake cam with an Si exhaust cam. The combination worked very well.

new question- trying to make sure i don't get scammed. I found this pic:



So if its a CTR cam it should have those two engraved rings around the end part? And if its not a CTR it won't have those?
