JDM B16A1 VTEC Solenoid Gasket
Has anyone been able to find a USDM equivalent?
I have searched and no one seemed to has found any solution for a leaking vtec solenoid gasket on a jdm b16a1... short of replacing the gasket AND solenoid with one from a USDM B-series VTEC together

I bought my first one from them. It's wrong.
I bought a 92-93 GSR one from the dealer as well. It's also wrong.
If you search, other people claim that they tried the 92-93 GSR / 99-00 Si / Del Sol.. and none of them work. I'm not quite sure what the story is.. and if the OBD-0 JDM solenoid is just different.
Someone is telling me P/N 15825-P08-005 works correctly. I have yet to find out what this part is from and have yet to try it.

Thats strange. Thereare actually 2 gaskets. One between the solenoid/psi unit to head, and one from just the solenoid to the unit. Im guessing your are referring to the one from the unit-to-head?

I dont know why a 94-97 B16 del sol or a 99-00 Si gasket doesnt fit perfect. It should. Can someone psot pics of this difference, cuz i dont see how it could be.
Edit: that part number u listed with PO8 in it, isnt that a JDM SOHC VTEC p/n? Dont the JDM sohc vtec's use a PO8 ECU? I just connected the 2 but maybe im wrong.

I'm pretty sure when i replaced mine i used a b16a3 gasket from honda. I have a receipt here...it just says filter, s.. but i think its for the vtec solenoid.
Part numbers: 15825-p08-005 and 36172-p08-005. No leaks since

Its just an obd-0 b16, most people know there are no numbers on jmd b16's but its easier to call it a1 a2 a3 for referencing obd.

Umm, the JDM B16a is not a1. If I rememer correctly, B16a1 is a USDM B16.....as well as B16a2, etc. B16a signifies JDM obd0 B16.
edit: I just reread what you typed, my bad, you're right. It's still incorrect to call the JDM b16a a b16a1 though.

The JDM B16A/PR3 EF SiR solenoid is dfiferent. I can't comment on the XSi B16A, however.
P08 is not the right gasket.
15825-P08-005 compatible solenoid:
Left to right: EF B16A/PR3 solenoid, 15825-PR3-005, 15825-P08-005
Notice the PR3 has a sharp bend at the top and the P08 has a smooth curve. The P08 is also much thicker.
If you look at the different DOHC solenoids (PR3 vs P08 style) you will see the differences in the gaskets CLEARLY reflected in the machining of the solenoid face.
The areas circled in red will usually tear when you put a P08 gasket in a PR3 solenoid.
I tried the P08. Twice. It was wrong. It could have worked if I rednecked it a bit more. It was a sloppy install at best.
I did a lot of searches. Other people had the same problem. They tried every USDM equivalent they could think of.
YMMV
For me, the 91 NSX (15825-PR3-005) gasket was the correct part.

Re: (HamiltonRex)
So people with first gen B16's and want a new VTEC solenoid gasket should get one from a 91 NSX correct?
Nice detailed pics too.

Re: (fourthgenhatchB17)
Good to know. I too was confused when I ordered the gasket for the del sol, installed it, and then had a huge puddle of oil under my car upon startup.
