Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic
Bar does what is says it would do. Stiffens up the front end considerably.. Car feels even that much tighter going straight and in the turns.. Only problem is that althoug it clears the oil pan it is still is hitting the crank pulley causing some not so pretty grooves to be cut into the lnked bars.. 8 out of 10..

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (Jason kiDD)
did you specify h22 when you ordered the bars? If you did not, you probably got the bars for the b series, if you want to exchange them for the correct bars so that they do not hit the crank pulley, let me know

I remember talking to him specifically about purchasing these bars because they would clear a h22 in a EG/DC chassis. I'm glad to see some good customer service from these guys.

lol Geoff I spoke to you via IM although I called into the shop and spoke to someone there. Simple mix up at best and I figured it was just a small miscalculation since it does clear the oil pan.. But they are sending me a new pair of arms so I will let everyone know how it works out then..
Again product works flawlessly now either way and I feel its a good investment for those that are trying to tune the most out of their suspension..

pictures? I've been thinking about getting traction bars. Would these help to create more understeer.

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (Jason kiDD)
really what it comes down to is that you have two options
option 1) what you currently have. Mount goes on the LCA and mounts solid on the metal, then the radius rod goes from here to the crossmember. This can hit the crank pulley if you use motor mounts that sit the motor too low, and/or if your car is excessively lowered
option 2) we give you the wider bars (h22 spec and 99-00 Si spec) this mounts to the base of the shock fork on the LCA. This will not give you as precise handling as the other style bar, however, it will definatley clear your oil pan.
I actaully recommend sticking with option 1 (what you currently have) and figuring out why your radius rod is hitting the crank pulley. Raising the car or using a stiffer spring rate might be a very good idea. let me know if you need any more help!

these bars will not cause understeer OR oversteer. They will only improve the stability and accuracy of the car. Push and slip are not affected by control arm stabilization.

sweet, thanks for the info. I guess I always thought that stiffening either side of the car would help create more or less oversteer/understeer.
By the way, your link does not work.

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (Full-Race Javier)
The product sounds great. Is there any way you could possibley list the part number for the eg/h22 specific set? That way it would alleviate any mix ups so we could just call and order them by the part number specifically. Might make the whole transaction a little smoother.
I definently see these in my near future. By chance, what would a set run for eg/h22 coupe?

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (AudioFuct)
That is just the thing it was my understanding that they were all universal. Full-Race however IS sending me new radius arms that are supposed to clear the pulley, once I get them on I will update my review and post some pictures..

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (Full-Race Geoff)
Well I received the new set of bars and put them on but low and behold same problem. Even worse now. The bar is definately hitting the pulley. Maybe its because I have the HCP mountkit which moves the motor a little bit more to the driver's side shock tower. Well the bars are nice but they are not functioning at all with my setup. My car is far near stock height, using AGX struts and Skunk 2 coils on stiffest setting however while any deep suspension travel you can hear the nasty grinding noise of the pulley and the bar..
Conclusion. So far its a no go..

Re: Full Race traction Bar review: H22 civic (Jason kiDD)
Well its official, the Full Race traction bar DOES NOT work with h22 civics using the HCP mountkit. I will be returning it back to them and thanks to everyone for looking..
Also thanks to Geoff for helping to assess the issue.
