DAMN!!!...183.1 whp and 131.2 wtrq with just bolt-ons!!!
Yeah...made another trip to the dyno yesterday to see what the power steering belt does. My exact mods include:
Spoon Thermostat
Comptech Filter & Icebox
JDM DC 4-1 Header
2.5" CATCO hi-flow cat
2.5" custom piping
2.5" inlet/outlet Dynomax muffler (Pep Boys)
No A/C
Racing Hart 15x6.5 CP-035 (8.5 lbs each)
CEL #67
Baseline run with power steering belt on:
Peak Horsepower = 178.8 whp
Peak Torque = 129.1 wtrq
Run with power steering belt off:
Peak Horsepower = 183.1 whp
Peak Torque = 131.2 wtrq
Not bad for just some bolt-ons, eh? Both runs were done at Dynamic Autosports in Irvine, CA on a dynojet dynamometer and are SAE corrected numbers.

dam it only gets around 98 degrees here in ga during the summer. I should take off my belts. Who needs ac and powersteering when its hot as *** outside? . But at least your car would smoke mine.

Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner at home to post them. But I do at work, so I'll try to get them up next week. In summary, the lines look pretty normal compared to most other plots I've seen on the board. There is, however, a 25whp surge when vtec kicks in at about 5700...I think I'll need to get a VAFC to level it out.
Thanks for the props guys...I guess I have truly been blessed with a strong R!

Could the light weight wheels have helped alot? Lighter wheels means less drive line loss right?

Yeah, considering my stock rims weighed about 15.6 lbs, dropping that weight to about 8.5 lbs per rim probably picked up about 2-3 whp. Every little bit counts!

I think the Spoon thermostat is what really did it. You got at least 7hp out of it. Good Numbers I have a pretty close setup. So I should be around 185.

Yeah, I just took the belt off for fun at the dyno. But I feel the marginal gains aren't worth it for street driving, so its back on now. When I get home tonight I'll look on the dyno sheet for the SAE correction factor and let you know.

Just looked at my dyno sheet:
Elevation = 200 ft.
Temperature = 72.9 F
Correction Factor = 1.01
Does that mean the power numbers are better or worse?

FYI I got a correction number of 1.01 on my dyno which was done at ~100ft elevation and 90F. Yours seems a bit high. I would expect a temp that low to yield either a 1.00 or a 0.99.
