Default Blow Off Valve for S2000 (Updated)

I was wondering wether I should install a blow off valve into my S2000, I KNOW that a VTEC is NOT a Turbo, but I heard from somewhere that BOV's work with turbos, can the VTEC pull off the same mechanical requirements that a BOV would need? And if so, what brand. Thanks.

Apparently you don't fully understand how a BOV works. Just because your S2k has VTEC, that doesn't enable it to use a blow-off valve. A BOV releases extra pressure in the charge pipe of a turbo setup so that it doesn't travel back into the turbine, causing premature turbo failure.

Simply put, without a turbo or centrifugal supercharger, don't use a BOV.

Man I feel bad after hearing that one...kinda sick.

Regardless, you cant use a BOV on an NA setup.

See...for some reason to me it seems that he is serious. It seems like he is actually inquiring about it. Im not sure if that is better or worse.

you should get six blow off valves , one for each cylinder, then you can blow the NOS right into the cylinder and you will run nines!

Is this a joke? You need positive pressure through forced induction in order for the bov to work...

n/a engines only create vacuum ...

You need to do a search not only on H-T but any on other source of info so you at least figure out that a BOV and VTEC have very little to do w/ each other.

Idiots do also buy S2K's, remember the guy who installed the nitrous to his valve cover.

It is hard to believe that people can be as stupid as this guy, but the sad truth is that people are.

I think perhaps you're being a bit harsh, so kindly all get off your high horses and apologise. I'm not saying it didn't make me laugh (although not as much as the guy who plumbed his NO2 into the rocker cover!), no need to be abusive though. He asked a genuine question with no malice or sarcasm, yet you call him a dumb ***. How else do you learn without asking?
A person who asks a question is a fool for a minute, but the person who doesn't is a fool forever.
