K24 / 20 Dyno chart Dynojet 5thgenjon car
We finally (yea) have some numbers on 5thgenjon's k swap. And here we go.
First pic is his old engine (ITR) compared to the k24. Numbers for the itr engine are 177.9 whp with 126.9 torque. The k24/20 made 209.87 whp with 156.59 torque.
Second pic is the first run and the best run together. I believe there is another chart with a few more ponies on it...somewhere. Come Monday it will see some more dyno time. Before tune was around 190 whp with 145 torque. After of course was 209.87 whp with 156.59 torque.
Engine is pretty mild/stock. 11.1 pistons, custom header (thanks Ray) custom intake, aem ems, 2.5 in exhaust, lightened flywheel, cm clutch some other things Im just forgetting.
Heres some in the shop pics...right now the car is in the paint booth or there would be some more pics.
A little message for the v-8 guys. (yes we to are v-8 guys so dont get your panties in a bind.)
Comments are welcome and any tuning tips appreciated....sorry no fuel or ignition maps right now.

Marvin the Martian ha. lol. I dig the guy.
Swaps looking awesome I would assume the new paint will be silver looking at the engine bay...yes-no?
I want to see a vid of the first v8 race also.

Well Im speaking for 5thgenjon here. The elevation at the local track is 4800 ft. and for anyone that doesnt know that slows your 1/4 mile et by 9/10's of a second.
Im guessing once the final tune is done it should reach the 13.9 mark. Which would make it a low 13 sec machine at sea level. But hey who knows until you hit the track.

you should do 13's if not get another driver.
my TSX swapped rsx got 14.2 after a couple run at the track at 110F hooking up is the hardest thing easier on slics but wanted legal street tires to try. go michelin pilots! HAHAHAH (undyno tested)

Back from the dead...
Last Sunday we had an autocross at the drag strip and after our event we hit the strip. No tree, no clock just a starter and had some fun. With some nearly corded victoracers we went up against a pal that has a evo8 and other than the launch stayed up (if not pulling him) just fine.
The HUGE factor you have to keep in mind is our elevation, until you have experienced it it doesnt have the same impact on you.
Anyways I predict next year when we have a chance to run these cars with official times I think 13.8 is not out of line. Which of course is a 12.9 at sea level.

I thought with a monster like that it would be putting out way more power then that. I'm guessing with a little more work and tuning it will be putting out better numbers. But good progress.

Sure, I agree with what you saying but the big deal here is when it makes power...along with the six speed its a good match. To be honest I was hoping we would hit the 220 mark but hey thats what cams are for!
Ive seen simular set-ups making plenty less hp, heck this swap is in the infancy stage just wait till people start working this stuff out.
