Port the intake and exhaust, put those little dent things in the intake ports, 5 angle valve job, and mill the head .015

First, we were instructed to do our most basic head package. This includes completely reworking the combustion chambers, our radius/discrete valve seat configuration (same as on our most expensive head packages), complete bowl work including short-turn radiuses, port match intake and exhaust port entries and exits, injector slot dimpling, valve rework, milling head to achieve stock valve to deck clearances (and stock cc's), and spring set-up and assembly with new Honda seals.
It's the best bang per buck we offer.

We ported this head/manifold for Superior Research & Development.
We have no control over prices they (or any shops) charge customers, but I can tell you this...if the customer had come directly to us, he'd have saved about $450-$500.00.

I guess we should raise our prices....

Wow this really makes me doubt SRD a lot, almost a 500 dollar markup to ship off a head , I am definitly going to do some research now before trusting them

First off let me say that I decided to get this head work done because i know I was in for some down time because my car burnt https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=828512 since i was going to be down for abot a month anyways I figured I might as well get it done now so I can have time to gather up all the parts I need to get my car back on the road(and save up some extra dough) That price of $1445 also included alot of other things not seen in those pictures, like the removing and installing of the head it self, also port matching of the intake manifold, new gasketsboth the valve cover gasket and the head gasket(the valve cover gasket melted in the fire...There is something else I'm leaving out but when I remeber what it is I'll post it..

Tegasaurus, I don't know what your problem is with SRD or Joe but what ever it is please keep it out of this thread..

Superior Racing Developement is an awsome shop IMO they sponsor a local integra website giving discounts to the members.

They also sponsor lots of local racing events helping to keep the stupid street racers off the street..

Carlos is one bad *** engine tuner, and his mechanical work is first rate

Also when you make an apointment to have work done it's done quickly and correctly the first time

Carlos
SRD

Its a shame he is a part of that shop.

Let's see.
Headgasket = $90
Complete Top End Gasket kit minus above head gasket = $45
Cylinder head work $700-950 (price includes valve job)

Total of $835-1,035.

But the thing that upsets me is that your head ports look untouched other than the dimples. I don't know but if you had just sent it to portflow you would have only spent $900 and it would look so much nicer than this head. Even your head porter is saying you got ripped off. Perhaps SRD likes to charge $400-500 labor for removing a head.
