Default Deer + CRX + Triple Digit Speeds

I'll make it the shortened version... Going down the highway at 4:30 am this morning, triple digit speeds messing with an Eclipse 2.0, and all of a sudden there is a deer in front of me. I swerved as much as was possible without losing it, still hit the deer. Car swerves left, countersteer, slide right, countersteer, swings back left and does a complete 360 into the grassy downhill slope, almost rolls, then stops. I start it up and drive it home, another 20 miles. Runs fine. Time for a new project I suppose. Any input on wether or not I should try and fix it? If anyone has a fender, radiator support, headlight, etc, pm me.

i hope you took the time to be a man and make sure the deer was dead and not just laying there. And then take the time to move it off the road and call someone.

dude you should've brought that deer home for meat, looks like you still have some jerky in that front end. also what the hell is all that green, ****? consider yourself lucky.
personally I'd keep the car and get the japanese front end especially if you have a b16 under that hood.

Make sure the deer is dead? Apparently you can't read or see pictures, I hit him at one hundred and twenty miles per hour. All that green and brown? Thats the contents of his intestines, the thing ended up in two seperate pieces, almost literally. It was off the road from me hitting it too, so w/e. And yes, over a hundred isnt smart, but it was early on a Saturday AM between two exits 18 miles apart, with us being the only two cars on the road. I knew what the outcome could be, and I did it anyway, only I drew the short straw this time. Move on and build something better....

respect the world you live in. After all it's the principles of that world that allow cars to work. The secret to any undertaking in life is to work WITH it, not against it.

At least people who work on cars for a living mostly have a little more sense, and respect.

Oh wait, I'm supposed to be offended and flame back, so.. **** YOU!

I do often question why I bother posting on here at all. ?

There's more ego than car on ht. I don't care for any more ego.

Damn man...no one else has said it but you area pretty good driver! I mean considering you hit and object ( couple hundred pound deer) doing 100+ and went into a spin and saved your car! MAD Props to you man.

My first day i had my CRX i went up to a road to pick up my girlfriend and was getting pretty cocky going around turns at 60-70 mph and i went into a spin and flipped out trying to handle it like a go-kart..i ended up in the side ditch.

but you did a good job of driveing.... and yes fix your CRX or give it to me

I doubt about fixing it, I started taking it apart and it's pretty bad. Ill post some pics, but it seems like its gonna be near impossible to find these parts, so Im probably gonna part it out. The rest of the kit besides the front is good, greddy catback, catco high flow cat, intake mani, crane cam, b+m shortshifter, neuspeed bushings, kyb agx's, dropzone springs, the rims, system, it can all go. If interested pm me, we'll work out a good deal

so you are saying that you have never raced before??? I think that racing is wrong on a public street when there are alot of other cars around. But what he was trying to do...AKA late at night, on a un-populated street just him and the eclipse..i see nothing wrong with that

Like I said, its a 2 lane highway, 4:30 am, we were the only cars in site for probably ten minutes, I live in farm country.. Also, theres like 18 miles between exits, so its not like we're gonna hit people entering the highway. The only people at risk were us and the deer, we accepted those risks and I came out with the **** end of the stick... I DONT race on roads when there are cars around, and NEVER at stoplights, only on the empty highway and the track

Oh..i dont' know how you took my quote but i was defending you...i believe the same thing. if anyone is gonna be endangered its you and the other racer not the people trying to simply get to/from their destination....and its just that this time the guy who trys to play it safe and race the right way got screwed i feel for you man
