SNEEK PEEKS: TECH43'S K24 SWAPPED EG4 VTi AKA "ktwizzle"
nothing too great yet, k24 motor is mocked up for header/exhaust fitment/radiator etc.
I was gonna do the mounts myself, but hasport's kit is nice, so I said forget it. this kit is not available yet, so please dont ask, and dont call hasport asking for it either. be patient. it will be out very soon.
the motor going in soon: 2464cc, custom pistons, 11.5 to 1, ported k20a head, custom cams, custom header/exhaust, aem ems/custom harness. just a motor to get it out there and running, hopefully it will make good power. i'm curious to see how long it will live with the 99mm stroke.
big thanks to eric valdes aka richie valens of street image for the killer shop use.
garbage
removing the trans bracket
the right way to remove it, no sawzall's you hacks!
awesome rear bracket
AWESOME clearance.
not awesome clearance, but nothing you can do. hood will get modified. i'd rather mod the hood, than have a low pan.

is the clearance that bad just cause the k24 has a taller deck than the k20a or is it that bad with all k series?

the k24 has a 19.7mm taller deck, plus, k's are just tall in general

1.535, pretty crappy considering the stroke is 99mm. i dont plan on it living too long. kind of an experiment/quickie throw together motor just to get it running. later i will probably destroke it and stretch the rod out with a .850 compression height piston.

how high can you rev it and still mesh the gears with the cable tranny, though? no sense in building it to pull to 10K rpm if you can't shift there. granted, 99mm is a long stroke; more flex/vibration/harmonics to worry about eating bearings, etc.

cable shifted transmissons shift just as good as transmissions with linkages, and the way in which the gears are shifted (cables/linkages), has no bearing on how high you can rev it before it wont shift.
building in to pull 10k? who said that?
and a 99mm is never going to go to 10k, and live.
99mm cranks dont create vibration/flex/harmonics/bearing problems etc, just because they are 99mm, over revving does, regardless of stroke.

Re: (JDMCRXDelSol)
Haaha i think its hilarious how you just threw a freaking k24 built 11.5 comp and just say that its just something to get it running..
It actually really hurts me cuz it seems so impossible

Damn man that car is so JDM look right hand drive and everything. Hahaha Steve finally got rid of the JDM radio that doesn't work in the US. Damn radio stations... Haha. Gotta go check it out at Streetimage if you guys haven't finished it yet.
