MUST Read. The Future of this site and forum
As they say everything good must come to an end... but keep in mind change can be good. I just would like to thank all of you who have contributed to the prelude forum and have given so much valuable information to the others in need. So with that said... it's time to get down to business.
None of you know anything about this side of Honda tech. The existing moderators have put forth the sum of $10,000 dollars total to keep this site in existance in anticipation of this. Even our Honda Day at etown raceway was to help and i'd say there where 8 moderators plus there for more then the event itself...but for us to meet on this topic. The site was going down hill and fast. Simply no funding, and Dustin has REFUSED to charge for a membership like other sites do. Don't get me wrong...not all of the moderators were able to fund the monies that some of us have. But...there was a purpose.
Honda tech has been contacted by Nissan. We have been given a great opportunity to make drastic changes but for a wonderful begginning. Honda-tech's name has been purchased by Nissan. It took alot of money from some of us but the moderators will now create new forums for hopefully some of you...but we'll also attract a great crowd in the Nissan community. Nissan has been extremely greatful to us...by even supplying vehicles to the moderators who've stepped forward. Truely a good company to deal with. They do see a future and we mirror those thoughts. So in a nutshell, there will no longer be a honda-tech. Instead, it will become Nissan-Tech. This whole deal has been going on for quite some time now, but we were not 100% sure of this until late last week.
Once again, I thank all of you who have helped to make this site such a wonderful one. Unfortunately nothing is free and Dustin can no longer afford it. As for me, I am getting out of the FWD game. My car is up for sale in the arrival of my new G35 which I should be receiving by sometime early August. For some of you guys that don't know, I do have an extensive knowlege about 240's as well and I will be taking over the forum '240SX' which will be replacing the prelude forum. For right now most moderators will retain their current HT names for the purpose of 'identification' in the next 30 days.
I am not too happy with this personally, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. My love for honda will never die but I think this will be the beginning to a new chapter of my life. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any of the other moderators.
