H series to B series Adapter plate .....Has began.....
I have started on the H series to B series adapter plate. Last night I got the whole templet done. Im going to machine the plate out with a alum sheet at work. I have some pictures of the templet. I will post them on here later.
As for people asking questions about the starter not lining up or the input shaft not going in far enough. They all work. Everything should be done and togethere by mid next week....

Is this so you can use an H series tranny on your B motor or B series tranny on your H motor? Cool idea.

so now what mounts would EF's use for this swap. a whole new set would have to be made right? or the tranny would bolt in its normal place and the engine would sit more to the drivers side because of the adapter plate and need a custom mount there if it can even work. sorry i dont see how itll work without cutom mounts or a specific and so far unavailable set of aftermarket mounts. if you can make the mounts too then youd be rakin in money.

The B series and h series have to spin in the same direction because I know the k series and b series are different directon and that the h series and k series are different directions so the b and h have to be the same direction. You sure your not confusing them?

With these plate, you can use your B series Hasport mounts. That means that the tranny will sit in the same spot as if there was a B series swap in there. I used the same drivers side mount as well. The only thing that I see that will be a problem is that since the plate is 3/8 thick, that is going to puch the motor 3/8 over which I do not see as a problem it will be a tighter fit which will hold the motor in place better. Like I said everything looks good so far but I will not know how everything bolts up until it is in the car. I have pictures of the templet and the B series tranny on a H series block. I will get these up today. Also for eveyone wanting to make one. You are going to need to take and this made at a machine shop. Lucky for me I work at one. I will get those pics up ASAP.

im just saying it if pushes the motor over 3/8 of an inch the b series drivers mount wont fit. it will either have to be modified or a new hole will have to drilled 3/8 of an inch over in the body to make the mount fit well. also everything else will move over too. have you ever measured the clearences on that side of the block? like how close the crank pulley sits or the alternator?(i havent but its a pretty tight fit down there even on my D series)

Yea everything has been measured, and seems like it is going to fit, I have a custom front crossmember that I made so the pully hitting on the side of the body or the radial arms is very slim. 3/8 is not that thick, that is less then a 1/2, when i had my ITR in the crx I had to pry my trany side mount so the mount will would line up with the driver side hole. As of right now it seems like everything is going to fit fine. I have measured and measured.
The advantage for me so that I dont have to cut the hell out of my car to fit a h22 in there and make custom mounts etc etc....

Here are 2 pictures, one of the templet that was made and the other is of the motor. I had to cut and grind down a piece of the block so the midshaft will fit.

this is looking like i might have to change my thoughts again about what motor to put in my crx... i have very bad knees and pushing a clutch in over and over again kills me...the auto trans on the h22 is so big and i would have to cut so much of my rear cross member to get it to fit in there that i was just not that comfortable with the h22 swap... but if i can add a bullet proof auto trans behind the motor it saves the cross member from being cut up so much...as well as my knees from pushing or holding the clutch... think about selling them... i would flip that cash real easy...one suggestion tho... once you get it paten it so no biters can steal it and make millions off your hard work...

I was thinking about selling the plates, but there are still a lot of work the buyer would have to do. You have to cut a chunk of the block off as you can see in the pics. You have to fab your midshaft to work. I would sell them if I had enough people that wanted to buy them.

here is one... put me first in line for this idea... damn i wish they had a lightbulb emote... any way do a total write up on the work that goes into installing the set up... what other parts are needed and how things go together... im still in line no matter what it takes...

Today, I got all done cutting the plate out. Tomorrow im going to have all the holes drilled and tap some of the holes. It is comming along pretty good I will post some more pictures later on tonight of the cut of out plate.
Today I also did some pressure test on some plates to make sure they could handle the weight and HP. Anything under 1/4 will not cut it. It will fold very easy. At least I wouldnt trust it. I will go a little bigger then 1/4 if anyone out there is going to make one.

Last night I got the plate done. There is 6 bolts in the tranny and 7 in the block. This things is on there just as good as stock. I put it up on the engine hoist to make sure it could handle the pressure and no problem what so ever. I will post some pics of the plate and the plate on the block with the tranny on.

then he would be ok, cause H and F use the same patteren.. you can mix and matach F and H motors/tranny.. even flywheel and other parts are commonly the same
