The madness has begun *bi-xenon projector install* MORE PICS ADDED
*edited again* added night pics below
*edited another time* added high beam pics below
I ordered a pair of AMG E55 Hella bi-xenon projectors a couple weeks ago, and just got a pair of new Philips D2S bulbs today. So I started installing the projectors onto the brackets from spare Integra headlights I have laying around (I have several, some broken and some intact ).
Luckily everything aside from the clear cover is interchangeable between all Integra headlights 94-01. So what I'm doing is installing the projectors on my spare headlight brackets and then I will simply open up my 2000 headlights when I'm done and swap the brackets in. I've only got one done so far. I hooked it up to the car and tried the bi-xenon function and WOW the light is amazing! I can't wait to get it all done and installed.
*edit* moved my pic up here from below
here's the pass. side projector all buttoned up and ready to back on the car... looks almost stock except there's just a tad more space between the projector and the bezel than I anticipated. I also painted the bezel black like on my old headlights, but this time I left the contoured part right around the inner edge as chrome, and I also painted the high beam bezel, as well.
I will add more pics today of the car after I get done washing the 4-week old filth off of it.
*EDIT* again
Here's some pics after finally having a chance to wash it today!
That last pic just has reflections in the projector from the camera flash.
I'll try to get some beam pattern pics tonight.
*edit* alright people here are some night pics, this is the best I could do for now, in the parking garage where I park during the weekdays.
And now here we have my high beams, finally wired up the solenoids today (26 February). HOLY CRAP the light output is UNREAL!!!! Talk about blinding some people The bi-xenon highs in addition to the halogen highs is absolutely amazing on dark back roads. The light just keeps going and going and going and going......

why would it be hard? They will be aimed just like stock using the adjustment screws on the back of the headlight housing.
What's amazing is the size of these things. They are almost exactly the same length and diamter as the stock Integra projectors, almost as if they were made for these housings. So that means when it's all done it will look 100% stock from the outside.
*edit* in case you didn't know, those pics show the E55 projector installed onto the Integra internal headlight bracket. I had removed the high beam reflector, and of course the low beam projector had to be cut off and the remaining hole enlarged just a bit.

You should do a writeup when you are finished so I can bookmark it later. How much did the whole setup cost you (in detail)?
I cant wait to see the finished product!

What did you use to cut the piece when the HID projector is sitting at now? I'm using a dremel with the cutting disk, but it's not working too well. I have a feeling you're using a dremel also, but I had a battery-powered one, so I'll have to return it.
It's looking pretty good.

Re: (Huh_oh ****!)
I got the projectors and bulbs from reputable eBay sellers (many people on HID forum have bought from the same sellers), for about $225 total shipped. I'm re-using the same ballasts I've had from the visualdynamics kit.
To cut the bracket, which is made of cast aluminum, I've been using a hacksaw and also a dremel w/ fiber-reinforced cutting wheels, and also a tungsten-carbide cutting bit. I'm using a corded Dremel w/ digital display, 5K-30K rpm.

Re: (IntEGNYC)
That looks so much simpler than Skafia's retrofit. How long did it take you to do what's in those pictures?
btw, your 9005 high beams will be rendered useless once the bi-xenon solenoid is hooked up right?

Nice man, looks like I'm gonna have to do this myself with my 94-97 headlights. Good luck with it and show us some pics asap

Tony the Tiger said he did this retrofit in 2 hours, but he probably has better tools than I do. I just got the other projector mounted up, and I've probably spent a couple hours on each bracket. The hardest part, after cutting off the stock projector, is making the hole large enough so that the E55 projector mount flange will sit flush against the bracket. In this respect it's harder than Skafia's A6 retrofit.
The A6 projectors are much shorter in front of its mount flange (distance from flange to front of projector). Because of this you have to use the spacers you see on Skafia's page to bring the projector forward so that it sits flush w/ the projector bezel. The bad part about that is that it makes the bulb holder in back sit farther inside the housing, so it might make for a problem when trying to hook up the D2S connector.
High beams will surely work, because all I'm doing is splicing the solenoid wires into the factory high beam harness. The solenoid only needs a little bit of current to move the shield down, and keep it down, while the high beams are on. The halogen high beam bulbs will still operate as normal.
