Anyone running a S2k / S2000 muffler on their Civic? preferbly w/ swap!
I can get one for $85 shipped. I'm running 2.5" piping from a GSR catalytic converter back to an arospeed axle back which is welded to the piping
What are the inlet diameter on the s2k muffler? Is this a bad idea on a civic with a GSR motor? I'm about tired of having a LOUD exhaust.

Why not a CTR or an ITR exhaust?? I'm not sure how large the S2k muffler is.

That would be fine if they are in the $85 price range. I haven't researched this much. Just know that someone has the s2k for sale. I am betting the s2k is not a good idea since they run duals I bet the inlet is smaller than an ITR muffler. Anyone care to confirm?
Thanks!

Well, I don't really want to replace the entire piping right now as I may be going turbo later this year. I'm happy with the 2.5" piping I have right now. Just looking to get rid of the coffee can

I think it would cost you more trying to get the S2K mounted then it would to just buy a new exhaust system.
The S2K exhaust system is A: Huge B: Heavy as **** C: Made for the S2K and yes is a dual exhaust

Re: (Del"TheSolMan")
You miss understood me. I want to get rid of the muffler I currently have and get something that looks more like OEM and that is also quieter...... My piping is fine so I'm just asking about the s2k muffler. Not the entire s2k exhaust system.

I'd say grab the passenger side canister, as the hangers look closer to what you need. Take one up to a muffler shop and they should be able to put it on.

yeah, it doesn't look like it would be too hard or expensive to mod to fit what you have.

keep in mind it is designed to be used with dual exhaust, therefore probably doesnt flow as well as a ITR muffler because of that. the pi;ing going to it looks pretty small.

i was in the same position as you were.. between s2k muffler or itr muffler. i did some research and found out that inlet on the s2k is only 2" compared to 2.25" on the itr. get the itr if u want to stay with the oem look.

go with the itr exhaust. looks much better for a stock exhaust IMO.

I also heard that the oem s2000 muffler is very heavy i was going to run that on my hatch but did not do it due to the weight on just one of theose canisters...

s2k muffler will scream at around 5k plus. i have the stock 03 si muffler. dual tip. i got two, so quad set up on my del sol. looks really clean and sporty loud...not as loud as s2k or even 350Z but looks clean. i think dual tip 03 si looks nice on ek or eg hatches too

I have a single S2k muffler on my hatch. If WE-TODD-DID wasn't down right now, I'd post it a good pic.

Anyone have the dimensions of the S2000 muffler?
Also, I was under the impression that it is a twin-pass muffler. Anyone have a picture of the backside of the muffler?

actually a friend of mine had one in his EG...
i think it was to big for the EG cuz it was rubbing like crazy...
as for the soundwise it was pretty quiet just like any other stock muffler
btw..the s2k muffler has the twin loop design like the mugen muffler does

Re: (JDMb18civic)
I was just planning on having one of the mufflers cut right at the inlet and welding to my 2.5" piping. Does anyone have a pic of the muffler mounted on an Eg? Did you weld right at the inlet of the muffler?
