Yes the inevitable has happened.
Car: 1998 Acura Integra GSR Red
outfitted: Carbon fiber hood, hood pins, intake headers, exhaust neuspeed rear lower tie bar[visible from behind],

I parked my car at about 12:30 am on the street corner of Division and Orchard Street in NYC. Locked my car and used AutoLock and the CLUB. Read the street signs and I was ok to park.
Went to Good World with my girlfriend with the intent for her to shake her BOOTY and drink. Had a good time and bumped into a few of my friends.
Went outside around 3am and low and behold the Car is gone.
WTF ... me and my girlfriend are in awe....Which once stood the mighty GSR is now a silver 2002 Honda Accord..
Fine... no need to fret... it had to be towed...I read the street signs and no...I didn't violate and street laws...
Here is what is crazy....
I look on the ground and no glass on the ground..
<U>3:00am</U> I call 411 and ask for a police car. All of a sudden 2 cop cars roll up. I speak to the cops in the first car and tell of the situation. He gives me 3 phone numbers to call and says that if it is not there go to the precinct on Pott street. I ask my girl to go back into the bar and ask if one of the guys LOU can give me a hand and drive me to the precinct. I call the first number and is closed. Greate. Call the second number and no car matching description.
<U>3:20am</U> I then decide to go to the precinct with my girl and 2 of my boys. So my boy drives everyone there. It take me 20 minutes to get to the precinct since its on PITT street. ****. Calling 411 and everyone ....bullshit only to have the police on PITT street. I get there and tell my sob story. The policeman then tells me I have to go to the scene of the crimeand that a police car will be awaiting me !!!!!!!!
<U>3:30am</U> I get there and tell the police officers in the car my story. I walk them over to the crime scene and then tell me we have to go back to the police precinct to fill out paper work. My girl also reminds the policeman that they were the second car that originally were there behind the first car I talked to. WTF
<U>3:35am</U> I tell them the same story and i have to fill out paper work. By the time I was done, 1 hour has eclipsed. I call the numbers and they say still no car.
<U>4:45am</U> The officer was at least polite and courteous and told me the procedures
<U>5:20am</U> Get home and typing this ****..

Well you don't have to Keep your eyes open.

the frame was picked up by sanitation so it was SANITIZED as the officer would say
I HATE THIEVES
At least they caught them and charge them...probably with a slap on the wrist.
They got caught installing my engine and transmission into another car
Well i guess no more honda for me...
I would like to thank everyone for their time and help....

cops dont even really care when cars are stolen, they pretty much help you cause they have to. my friend has gone through 2 stolen cars and we alwayz find the car first than the cops. and i belive your car was towed off. even though someone could easyly pop your hood in 5 secs though your side fender disconnect your negative from your battery in bout 5 more seconds(which shuts off your alarm) all at the same time another person poped your door lock and is cutting your clutch pedal to remove the autolock,est. time about 1min and the club is too easy to take off dont ever bother putting that on. on your next car get low jack best bet. and sorry for the lost i know you must off felt horrible when you went outside and dint see your car where you had left it ,i know that bad feeling you get in your stomach once you see its def not there. hope you had full coverage man .

i'm from the area I know alot of integras are stolen as often as people eat. Look for any identifying parts on urbanracer.com, ALOT of stolen parts are traded there, thats how my friend's car was found. He had a set of full SRR coilover that were sold along with a few of his other parts, he alerted the Piggies and they found his car stripped, but at least they got the guys who stole it.......post a pic i'll keep an eye out, I live around a crappy neighborhood where alot of imports are stripped, sadly the police dopn't do enough...

Man, I am sorry to hear that, from one GSR owner to another. The only thing that could have helped you are Lojack, and Full Coverage Insurance. A friend of mine car was also stolen earlier this year and he claimed he had the club on the car. The reason why the club has no use, is because those guys can easily cut the steering wheel off or just break it off. Sorry for your loss, I feel it deeply for you.

how can someone cut the clutch pedal, in one minute?? how would they start the car?? and what if the autolock was placed on the gaspedal?


damn that sucks, i always thought the autolock would give a thief a hard time to steal a car.. im planning to moving back to ny (hate fl) driving my integra back, but now after reading so much cars getting stolen in my hometown i'll just leave my teg with my parents until i can afford an apt with a driveway =o( good luck finding your car man i hope u get it back in one piece

what makes you guys think it wasnt just towed away by a crooked tow truck driver. 90% of thefts around here where the whole car is taken turn out to be crooked towers taking them somewhere to get stripped and collecting some serious money for doing it. Lowjack being the only thing that can help you in that situation.

Sorry to hear what has happened. Doesnt surprise me one bit. Had my civic stolen. They recovered it the next day. I'm sure you will recover your car in a day or two. Just hope you have full coverage. I have a crx now. I dont take that **** anywhere! If I ever go out and its somewhere i dont usually go, I go with a friend. Pics not working so you may want to fix that. I'll definitly be on the lookout for a fellow honda-tech member!

I've been calling the DOT and whatever offices were open but to no avail...
I thank everyone for all their support and help and enjoyed the most the comrodidry (sp?) and companionship I've had on this board...

Due to this affair I will try to get something new and I believe a honda won't be in my near future...
Any suggestions???

dude my prelude got stolen from rifgt in front of my house at like 2:00 in the afternoon. Me and my girlfriend were on our way out the door, and I heard it start up and I thought (for a sec) oh she must have started it...then vROOOOMMM tiers squeling. So I run outside and see the f#^kers going up the next street over (pittsburghs got lots of hills). Anyway I tried to chase them down on my bike. No luck. Cops show up 1hr. latter!!! WTF? Anyway a week later me and my girl where waiting for a ride to go buy another Prelude and the phone rings...They found it. All they took was the wheels and the cd player and the 6.5's...Nothing else?...no cds or nothing....but I feel your pain it's just HORRIBLE, but hopefully you'll get lucky like we did..good luck
