Default Rocket Motorsports Official Modified Spark Plug Dyno comparison

This chart was given to me by rocket to show you guys the gains. I must say they are pretty impressive. Ill be ordering a set myself soon. Im in no way associated with Rocket Motorsports, nor am I gaining anything from showing this graph. This is a digital picture of the adobe file he sent on my computer i also included a download so you can download the original file for yourself, enjoy! Im sure Rocket will chime in later to get motor specifics.

Ver nice. I have seen a few graphs now that show significant gains with these plugs. (Significant when talking about spark plugs that is).

Facts re above plot

Plugs: NGK BCPR9 v. Rocket modified NGK BCPR9
Motor: ITR with B16 Cams
Dyno: TrackMasters
Eyewitness: TEAMGENDAI

The other plots I have show 10whp difference but nobody is going to believe that.

Thanks Casey, I get like a hundred people asking for a plot.

wow, i would love to test these things

Rocket - if you would like an unbiased independent dyno test of your spark plugs feel free to get in contact with me

the results are pretty impressive for just spark plugs

maybe he means ctr cams? i was thinking the same thing.

omniman vouches for gains of these spark plugs on his personal engine.

i have them, and my car felt more responsive..but no dyno.

Sure. From what I've seen though the fairest test is to test like spark plug in like conditions. I've noticed that spark plugs need to be broken in meaning that they make more power slightly used thatn brand new. So there needs to be some controls in order to isolate the power differnce.

The test shown above is with the exact same NGK part number and both sets had been used before and were in similar conditionu. Only difference was my modification.

Acutally tnis was NGK v. Rocket NGK. Rocket Autolites would have pobably made more power.

8 HP loss? That's a pretty huge loss.

what more would you like to here?
i'm not in anyway trying to down rockets products in any way.
simply just stating that these plugs dont give a 10hp gain on every application.
also, i do have a buch of his products in my ride (including the plugs) and have referred him to a bunch of my buddies
