Jeez that thing is low as hell. Probably about waste level to me. Of course Chris will fall into the car getting into it, easier. Looking good, must be putting in some hours.

Wow, is that a 4 link and a third member style rear end housing with solid axle tubes in the front of a front wheel drive car?

Re: (CrazyCompression)
Hey Tony... that thing is low. if it is that low with just barely anything in it, is it going to pass the heigth rule. I believe the front has to be 3" minimum and the back a 2" minimum. I think it has to be 3" till at least 12" behind the front tire. But I don't have a rule book to confirm. A little help on the rule. Anyone???

I was at bullish today and seen the rwd car how beutiful, that's preety funny comments, I like Keith's the best--look NHRA no wheel humps, maybe they should have just said no Cris Rado in the rules it would have been easier.

Re: (Trooper)
John, it is legal height. The front suspension and uprights aren't finished yet so the front is sitting on blocks. The rear suspension is finished and the titanium springs are being made right now. The car will sit just as it does now when finished.
That IS a ford 9" axle and four link on the front. The output of the tranny drives a v drive back up to the rear end. The tires are 33x16. Oh, and bob's foot, he broke it at the track a couple weeks ago. He's a trooper though, walked around on it for two days before realizing it was broken! You can't keep the guy down, the doctor was giving him hell for still working and walking around.

What's sad is the NHRA probably will ban something like this, negating a lot of very hard work and expense.
But it will be fun to see it run

What's sad is that they already have! We're running it at nopi. We designed the car around the 2003 rules and it completely legal according to them. With the straight axle setup, we can't run a smaller tire due to clearance issues between the housing and the tranny. We were already too far along when nhra decided to put a tire limit on the pro fwd class.
