Default d17 crank in d16

has anyone tried this setup cause i'm going to build my new block soon and i'll be boring the block to 79mm and i'm interested in using the d17 crank let me know if you have and thanks

i hate to dig up old posts but would really like to know the outcome of this- has anyone actually tried it? I just got a chance to get a pretty much FREE d17 bottom end-- I'd love to see a d17z6 hybrid.. but I don't wanna be the test mule!!

I have a D17 Crank for sale (but it has been scratched in the first chamber) .
it coukd be used to see it the D17 crank would work in the d16. I am asking $50 plus shipping.

what setup do you have to run the 12.5's in the 1/4. Was it N/A or somethingelse.

yeah i had been following a few of those posts...
I actually had a d17 bottom end at the shop my gf works at but she let it get thrown in the trash
