Default Where to put ground wire kit!

Im looking for pictures anyone might have on where they or anyone else installed the various wires on there groundwire kit. I am making my own and i couldn;t find much in the search for pictures. so pictures of where and what it is that is being grounded would be great. anything else you may want to point out to me or explain about it instead of pictures will be appreciated as well. I have a D16y8 engine, but any grounds that are the same as B series will help too!

what i bought was 11FT. of 4guage stereo wire from local stereo store, and gold plated ends. they are round, but flat with a hole through the end. the same thing used on the stock ground wires only larger to accomodate the wire and they are gold plated. so im making this all from scratch and i just need to see pics of whree to put the wires and how many different grounds there are, length of each would be wonderful as well, but not nessecary

I'd start by putting the kit in the garbage can.

worthless IMHO.

From what I have seen/understand you want to run grounds from the - terminal of your battery to somewhere on your alternator, head, near the distributor and chassis. I could be wrong though.

Youre pretty much right EG2.....The basic idea of the ground wire kits is to not only ground out the items using a lot of current, but also to keep each wire connected to each other.

For instance...if you have a wire from the battery to the head, connect the next one from the same spot on the head to like the tranny or something...but keep them connected and away from the distributor for the best results.

errrmmm, what! apart from having a higher resistance (negligable effect with the current flow) how is that going to be the slightest bit more effective than just running multilple wires from the battery terminal? Imo its just for looks.

I believe it will help (at least a little) I mean, take the 1 little ground wire off of your trans that is mounted to the chassis and look what happens to your temp. needle.

ignoring resistance which will be negligable anyway (unless you have loads of ice) there is no electrical difference in grounding everything to the battery terminal as opposed to grounding it in a circle. how do you propose it will help? i don't think you've thought about it properly

I am not saying either way would be better, but I think that adding a ground wire or two couldn't be bad. Then again, I am not an electrical technician, so I don't know.

that is all you need to do unless your boot is full of amps in which case you shouldn't even be worrying about increasing your engines power output

umm i don't care weather some of you think it works or not, thats not what i asked for. I need pictures of these kits installed a D16 honda, and an explanation of where they are going. i don't care about circles or power increase or monkeys coming out of my exhaust cause my wires are blue, all i want are pictures...

Here you go dude. Not a Honda laid out engine bay, but you get the idea.

Signal Auto Osaka: 350 hp civic, 1100hp skyline, 450hp silvia
Not a single car there had the rats nest of ground wire kits on them.
They are a laughable gimmick.
Break out your physics, and electrical engineering books, and all your theories, they are worthless.

are you saying that upgrading from say a CX or DX front brake set up to an Integ/Del Sol Vtec brake set up is worthless too?

Add as many ground wires as you want, it will not hurt anything.

I placed mine on a valve cover stud bolt, intake manifold, and transmission. I noticed better throttle response.

They are not a gimmick. But people can do and believe what they want. I feel bad for those who cannot understand them. But at the same time, there are already sufficient grounds on the engine. They just do not connect directly to the neg. battery terminal.
