Default Alarm + turbo timer and SPDT relay

Alright I have an alarm already installed, and I want to set up my turbo timer. I purchase a 12v mini spdt relay, but it is not labeled 87,87a, etc. What do I wire to what? The diagram that comes with it showed

1. Normally closed
2. Normally open
3. Com
4. Connected to 5 with a squiggly line in between
5. See 4

The line from Com runs between 1 and 2 and seems to be the switch, and 4 and 5 are just off by themselves not shown as having anything to do with the rest of them. Can anyone help me out? I would greatly appreciate it!

#1 will be pin 87A
#2 will be pin 87
#3 will be pin 30
#'s 4 & 5 will be pins 85 and 86 (the coil wires)

Alright, cool! thanks a buch. How sure are you of this? Looking at the diagram it doesn't completely make sense, but then again I know nothing about electronics. If your sure then bueno, and I appreciate it alot. Is there anyone that can verify this? The last thing I need is to fry my car.

Do you have a digital multimeter or can you post a pic?

If you want to be on the safe side, just buy a Bosch-type relay that has the markings on it. Your local car audio shop should have them for a few bucks.

ok all of you people with alarms and turbo timers this trick works great and only takes 2 minutes of work anr you dont need to buy any parts if you have an alarm in you car already your oing to take you ing wire and just move it to an acc (the wire in your ingiton harness that shows 12v when the key is in the "on" position but 12v goes away when you turn to the "start" position and back on when you turn back to the on or "run" position btw the wire is yellow ) you should hook all your turbo timer wires to there propper places but do not hook up the acc wire when your done with all youe connections it will work like a charm

Ok... anyone trying to slow down a theif, this is a bad idea. Moving the IGNITION wire over to the ACCESORY will defeat the starter kill. DEI alarms I know it will for sure. On DEI's, the alarm uses the IGN wire to both tell the alarm the key is on and to reset the brain (which is fine in the accessory position)... to control the door locks if you have active locking/unlocking on, and it used as the 12V side of the starter kill relay. The relay is connected NC from DEI, with 30 and 87A connecting the starter wire so you can start your car. When your alarm is going off or armed, the brain sends a ground to pin 86. Pin 85 jumpers over to the ignition via the ignition signal wire. When you try to start the car and the brain is armed, the ignition line activates the coil, opening the starter wire connection. Now if you move the ignition line over to the accesory, which reads nothing when the key cylinder is in the start position, the starter kill relay will never interupt the actual starting process. Granted it doesn't take much to bypass a starter kill relay, but it adds time to the process increasing the chance they will be caught. If you hook it to accessory this "theft deterent" has already been by-passed

you are not correct if you only move the yellow wire comming out of the alarm brain and leave the yellow wire on the starter kill the starter kill will still work the yellow wire going out of the dei alarm brain only passes through the starter kill you can even give the yellow wire of the starter 12v if you want but the orange wire on the starter kill that gives out the negative pulse when the alarm is armed
