2000 Acura Integra Type R -- NICE
As much as I hate to do this, I am choosing to sell my baby that I have put all of my blood, sweat, and tears into. Reason due to myself needing to put a house payment down in the coming months. Enough of the cry baby stuff. Here is the run down.
Car was bought originally in Boca Raton, Florida. It is a 2000 Acura Integra R Phoenix Yellow #0147. The car was then sold to myself after 19k miles of usage by the original owner (whom i know personally didn't drive the car but highway only as he was a college kid who commuted).
I bought the car in August of 2001. It was bone stock. Here are all of the modifications I have done over the past 2 years:
Engine: B18C5 --> never disassembled or taken out of the car.
-AEM CAI (wrapped in header wrap)
-DC Sports JDM header
-Carsound high flow cat
-SMS adaptor (directly after the catalyctic converter),
-Skunk 2 Stage 1 cams
-Titan Motorsports cam gears (has 5 nuts for non-slippage)
-AEM FPR
-Apexi VAFC
-B&M fuel pressure gauge
-Bored out stock throttle body by Leitner & Bush (new butterfly plate insalled)
-Mugen thermoswitch
-Mugen radiator cap
-Spoon thermostat
-Mugen baffled oil pan
-Removed power steering in favor of a modified looped rack
-Endyn breather kit (with drainback system into the back of the block)
-A/C is still on the car as it is Florida
Transmission:
-JDM Final Drive 4.785
-Comptech aluminum flywheel
-Exedy organic faced clutch
Suspension:
-Koni yellow shocks
-Ground Control coilovers with 400f and 450r spring rates
-Generic rear strut bar
-JDM rear sway bar (23mm)
-Cornerweighted and aligned at Irish Mikes Racing (local racing shop)
-Camber is -1.8 in the front and -2.0 in the rear
-Toe is 1/16th total toe out in the front and 0 toe in the rear
-The car doesn't sit too low to the ground (see pictures below)
-Falken Azenis on stock rims for street
Interior:
-Spoon duracon shift ****
-Sparco Lap 5 steering wheel
-Mugen pedals
-JDM armrest eliminator
Brakes:
-Axxis Ultimate pads all around for street
-ATE SuperBlue brake fluid
Other:
-ES motor mount inserts
-ES shifter bushings
-Spoon Sports magnetized drain plugs
-S2000 antenna conversion
-Removed rear wiper motor and wiper
-5% tint currently but can be removed for buyer
-Viper alarm system currenty installed
Maintenance:
This car has been maintained like a KING underneath my care. I always use 93 octane from Chevron (fuel system cleaner every 3-4 months). The car is washed every other week (waxed when needed). I change the oil every 2,500 miles with Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic. I have changed the transmission fluid (Honda MTF only) at least 4 times since owning the car (every 6 months). All fluids fresh in the car (tranny fluid, oil, washer fluid, coolant). Nothing overlooked. Valves were checked on 6/25/03 and no adjustment was needed. The car is EXTREMELY reliable. I have just massaged the car a bit with the modifications to get more performance without sacrificing reliability.
I have participated in 6 driver schools to further enhance my driving skills for such a wonderful and elegeant car. I reccomend them for driving this beautiful and extravagant automobile.
As you can imagine a lot of $ has gone into the car. I expect serious buyers only to respond to this post. Like I mentioned earlier, the car is in EXCELLENT shape and is ready to be had by an lucky person this summer. Car was NEVER abused and still purs like a kitten before VTEC opens up
It was dyno tuned by Angel @ Advanced Garage and made 185whp/130wtq with the graphs to back it up. Car has stock exhaust and still makes that awesome power. A nice SMS 2.5 inch exhaust and a Hondata tuning system would get you to the coveted 200whp mark for sure with a good tuner.
Price is set @ $22,000 negotiable
Here is a pic with my driver school wheels Rota Subzero's 15x6.5 w/ Advan A032R 205/50/15 with decent tread left (come with car for extra but trying to part with them right now)
Obviously these wheels have been re-painted RED now as seen in the other picture.
Best way to contact me quickly is through my cell phone 407-417-2580
Any questions feel free to e-mail me (don't wanna get flooded with PM's)

I finally found the time to take some really nice pictures that i don't want to post up here. They are extremely good quality shots so if you are interested in the car and can't make up your mind shoot me an e-mail and these pics tell it all about how i keep up with the car.

Damn, looked over your mod list again... your car is set up so nice Mike. I have been on-track with Mike several times at Sebring and his car is ******* sick. His tranny work really makes this thing pull out of tight corners like a bat out of hell (im thinking specifically of the hairpin at Sebring.) 185 whp... I believe it. Nice clean car man, good luck and sorry to see her go.

I appreciate those kind words Jacob. He is right. The car is setup very nicely and hopefully will go to a buyer who will do with it what it is setup to do (driver schools).

Bump for a great guy and seller.
I too have driven this car and it is amazing. Anyone who purchases this R is in for a treat. It has been well taken care of.
Hope the sell goes well!

Mike,
Man o Man... Now I am bumming! Not only am I selling my Type R, but now I won't have your car to drive!!!
To all interested in the vehicle: I have driven the vehicle, and the last time I saw this very nice Type R it not only looked great, but also ran perfectly! The motor is strong with no hick-ups. It also has a well balanced suspension and was well-cared for.
A very good buy at the price he is asking for it!!
