Review: Magnaflow exhaust
Alright, some of you guys asked about magnaflow exhaust system for G3 tegs.
I've had the system for over a year now and i like it. It's pretty loud while on the throttle, esp in vtec. Cruising, the exhaust hums at about 80 mph, which is a little bit louder then road noise (es100). Speeds below sounds stock when not accelerating or decelerating in gear. With windows/sunroof open, everything is louder.
With clearance, i've had no problems except for the resonator. Every once in a while i'll scrape the u-bolts where the resonator is.
Fit and finish, very nice. A little too bling for me so i sprayed the can bbq black.
Pics:

u-bolt where i scrape. i just need to get under there and turn it around, but i've been lazy.
Video:
2.5 mb, just revving
5.3 mb, 1-2 pull

Re: Review: Magnaflow exhaust (Mt3c)
I was just getting ready to buy this exhaust. Overall how does it compare to an Apexi n1? is it just as loud or quieter?
Also if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it? and where did you get yours?

is it me or do the pictures not work anymore?
anyways, how long did it take you to paint the can black, im also planning on painting my magnaflow black to complement my cars black/black look. and what kind of paint did you use? all i have laying around are 2 cans of duplicolor ceramic 500degree semi gloss paints....

Re: Review: Magnaflow exhaust (99FBPSi)
it is a complete exhaust, so the u-bolts are included. the only thing i am not sure is included or not is a gasket for the cat.
and the system can be installed by your diy. i didn't install it because the people at magnaflow were kind enough to give me and install the exhaust for letting them giunea pig my car.

I have this exhaust on my 99 SI and love it. Fit and finish are perfect, installed in less than an hour. It came with all gaskets.

Re: Review: Magnaflow exhaust (DxHatchback)
Remember to use high temp paint if youre going to use it on your exhaust.
I was in the market for an aftermarket exhaust system for my Maxima and
heard good things about Magnaflow and their products. BTW, if you have an OEM kit on your integra, the rear valances will help to hide the exhaust. I didnt like how my thermal R&D was exposed but it changed after my kit was installed.

Re: Review: Magnaflow exhaust (IntEGNYC)
I just installed one on my 00GSR. Fit was terrible, I believe they might have sent me a four door kit instead of the 2dr. (Or are there different sized cats on some years of the G3's?) I had to take the resonator section to an exhaust shop to get 4" hacked off near the cat flange and re-weld. That aside, everything is working well. Pretty loud at load at lower/mid rpms, VTEC sounds pretty aggressive, and you cannont hear it over my CAI once the secondary intake butterflies open. Overall, it seems to have a bit of a lower pitch/tone than alot of other cars I hear on the road, IMO.
