My Dyno and VAFC settings from Bay Area Dyno Day
Thanks Austin for setting up another great dyno day. And most importantly for setting up the VAFC!!!!! I owe you a for sure....oh wait shouldnt you be providing that???

Anyway here is the plot:
I was a little dissapointed that I didnt get in the mid 170's but o well. After Austin changed the x-over, I gained about 20whp max. I was mainly concerned with the A/F. I have a carsound and i really didnt want to spend another $200 for a replacement because I was running too rich....
So here are my settings, thanks to Austin:
(Fuel)

3000->(-4)
4000->(-4)
5000->(0)
<U>Hvt</U>
4500->(+2)
5000->(+3)
5500->(+2)
6000->(-3)
7000->(-5)
8000->(-13)
9000->(-14)
Vtec x-over:

Throttle:

As you can see, from the first run, I was running a bit rich up top. But the rest of the A/F looked pretty good to me. After the fuel changes, I leaned up quite a bit. I am really happy with the tq numbers...and the gains from 4.7-6.
But from looking at this graph is there anything that you dyno tuners think I could try?? Maybe play with the fuel some more?? Is it too lean?? any help would be great!!!

Nice numbers. Your numbers are actually better than mine, but last time I was on 17's so we are in the same range. When did you get the header? And have your exhaust issues been fixed?

Dude you should totally get spinning chrome rims it makes it go faster i dynoed atleast 50 pounds of torque hgher when i put mine on. Also you should swap the head with a d15 and use the LS intake cam, i did it on mine and if i can fix the hole in my fuel map ill pull 9s

Wow those are some decent numbers. Definitely makes you realize how far off the butt-dyno can be. Why god, why can't there be a decent tuner in my area.

Tuner...hell, I'm not a tuner, I'm just a hack It just takes a little knowledge of the product, and how to read the dyno plot. The VAFC is a very simple piece of electronics, and doesn't take a whole lot to tune/play with.

I've been somewhat confused regarding the V/T unmt %. I've asked many tuners to elaborate and explain this parameter percentage but no one seems have an answer.
I see that the V/T unmt was changed to +4. What does that mean? Is that the % difference between the new Vtec engagment and stock?? If so, shouldn't be a negative % since you moved the vtec engagement from 5800rpms to 4500 rpms?? That would be a negative change. If I am completely wrong, could you help explain why?

.....basically it helps to think of it as "vtec unmatch" or the amount of fuel you're adding/ subtracting at vtec crossover from lo to hi and vice versa.
That way, you don't have to go into the high throttle maps and change the fuel add each time you are playing around with it on the dyno. You can just add fuel at whatever crossover automatically. If you want to clean it up, then you can go back and add fuel at that particular rpm on the wot maps..... and zero out the unmatch settings. But it's just a quick way to program the fuel on the fly for the crossover.....
