Picked up my new baby June 1st, Honda Integra Type R (DC5) (Pics)
A little earlier than Honda originally told me, by 10 days, I'm not complaining at all. I didn't really take it out to drive, went from the dealer to home and into work this morning. Well it has been 4.5 days now. I really love this car, my EG9 is feeling lonely...
I'm definitely ecstatic right now. Really don't want to be at work, the weather is beautiful outside, perfect for taking a drive.

Your heart must be melting.
There's only one thing I want to know... and that is how the engine feels a few thousand miles after break-in.

Haven't taken any good pics yet, as I just purchased a digital camera before I went and picked it up. I will be taking some nice pics of it today. and will post them up.
For now you can go here to see some pics-- http://dc5rintegra.homestead.com/dc5r.html

Re: Picked up my new baby yesterday evening, Honda Integra Type R (tsunami_zc)
The height is up there. I can fit my 4 fingers into the wheelwell. Definitely will be lowering it. The suspension is solid, to save some money for now, I will probably just get some lowering springs.
Future plans--Mugen MF10s, Ings Hybrid Aero bodykit, Ings Carbon bonnet, exhaust (BCIII, 5Zigen Border304Speed, or Kakimoto 96R), J's Racing 2-1 downpipe, and eventually full coilover suspension (Mugen N1 dampers with Swift springs or looking into Quantum setup, and if money doesn't come easy, the Buddy Club Racing Spec Dampers look alright and just change the 10fr/16r springs with Swift springs of 18/30kg-mm).
I will most likely sell the wheels later on, have to get on E-bay and see what the going rate seems to be and maybe make it a little lower. The car, when I first picked it up, I was happy, but not so excited as I thought I would be. But just driving it yesterday for the first time (kind of for real, staying at 5000rpm and below) the car feels incredible. I was going to work in the morning, I was in sixth gear cruising along, the rpms were at about 3700 and I didn't realize I was doing 130km/h (about 81mph), mind you the speed limit was 50km/h. It is that smooth, even staying this low in the rpm band, it pulls nice. I heard others talk about the K20 and how nice it is, but it is not appreciated until you actually get to feel it for yourself. This engine is another gem from Honda! The B series were great, well still are, but this K series is phenomenal. I'm going to give it until 5000km before I really start ripping it around. It is going to be very hard. My EG9 Ferio, is constantly in VTEC, shouldn't it be, that is what is was designed for. Anyways, I just know this Integra is going to be so much fun, I really am in love.

I don't mind telling the price. The price in Yen came up to 2,873,000. Now understand this is because I am an American and my car is able to be registered on base as I am a GS worker. If I was to register it with Japanese plates or if a Japanese person was to buy it, it would of been 3,035,000. Now you can convert this to $ using whatever the exchange rate is. Unfortunately, our Government has let the $ fall against the Yen and Euro. At the time, the rate was ¥118/$1. So my out the door price was about $24,750 after financing for 5 years with no down and 5.9% rate, (freaking Navy Federal, interest rates are really low right now and that was the best they would do, yeah if I could of afforded it, payed it off in 36 months and had a 2.9% rate, unfortunately I couldn't) so my total price will be $29,880. OH, and no you can't have the afforementioned parts, then what would I do, Flintstone it around! I know Okinawa has the nickname 'The Rock' as that is exactly what we are, but I'm not going to do it.

Well I plan on never coming back, bar vacation. This is my home now and I love it here. If I do come back for whatever reason, then most definitely I will find a way to bring it back. Then once back, have to worry about it being stolen.
