Can changing oil reduce engine response??
Just got my car back from service. They did nothing but change engine oil and oilfilter + fuelfilter. When I got my car back the engine was definitively less responsive. Specially on low rpm's. I had previously used Castrol TWH oil (very thin and quite expensive), and now they had put on Castrol TXT (cheaper oil). Can a simple oil change make a noticable difference in engine response?

hmmm thats strange everytime I get an oil change my car is running like a top. My throttle response is MUCH better and the car accelerates more smoothly. Maybe they put some diesel oil in da car, high viscosity.

ahh... good to hear Then it's probably the oil that's causing it. I'll change that crappy TXT oil first thing in the morning.......

I use Motul 300V 15W-50 in my car. It's a little sluggish when cold - but once it warms up it runs like a champ.
