I thought the rulebook for H1 stated that the minimum weight for the S2000 was 2850lbs.

Just curious.

I rarely ever come into this forum...But upon viewing this thread I have a few questions...

1. Did you buy this car new? Or was it some salvaged vehicle?

2. If you answered yes to the first part...Are you a millionaire that you can buy a $28k car and gut it for racing?

3. If you answered no to the first part, but yes to the second...It's all good partner.

next should be carbon fiber doors.... unless you already have them?

and why not a difuser?

Carbon fiber is not allowed in the Honda Challenge. His trunk is actually painted black.

2800 is the minimum weight I will be adding ballasts when I run the Honda Challenge, but for any other event I can take them out and have fun

Full length DVD with this car in it will be out in the future

Cool ride! The shaved weight is quite incredible in how quickly the car can become.

2500lbs. seems about right, with all the dash on the interior.

I just read the HC rules and they say you can only add 150lbs of ballast. Where are you planning to find the other 150lbs to meet the 2800 lb limit? Or does your 2500lbs not include driver?

its 2669 with me in it so I just barely make it with the 150lbs ballast.. I think the minimum weight should be lower with this car since If someone was real light they couldnt even possibly make minimum weight. I'll have to talk with NASA about this one

Thats badas- makes me wanna find something cheap and gut it for Autocrossing. The car made a few mechanics from the Honda shop here cringe but they still like it. What engine mods it have, I can't look at the spec sheet page.
