Question about the stock Fan
I am looking to replace my stock '92 Civic Si Fan with a Push style to give me a little more room in my engine bay.
At pep-boys they have a few push fans for $50 or so and flow 600cfm.
Does the stock fan flow more then 600cfm? I don't want to down grade.

i'm assuming that you are going to mount it in front of the rad/condensor? why not just use the stock and reverse the wiring...or will you have fitment issues with your intercooler? i'm going to need to do this for my ac condensor fan.

Re: Question about the stock Fan (RyanAutry)
I found this one on Summit.
It's a Flex a Lite Pusher Fan.
1250 CFM
2.25" deep
$97.00
This will be going in between my Intercooler and Radiator.

Ones from autozone are just as good. I have one and I believe it personally outflows the stock one.. I have a civic though.

You dont want to use a fan with a cowl as a pusher fan, you want to use a generic autozone, oreilys, pepboys unit. They are 850cfm and are effective pusher fans as they dont have a cowl to block airflow at cruising speed.

Re: Question about the stock Fan (philo)
I use generic Imperial fans from Checker and they work great. I think my cost on them thru our shop account was like 55 dollars. Flow plenty and easy enough to install.

I dont know either, but cant you just use the stock fan, put in on the front of the radiator, and switch the wires? the only reason why you wouldnt be able to would be because of the blade design, but I dont why why it wouldnt work either way....

I was thinking of that. But I did a little measuring. I don't have the room.

Perma cool 1650!...
A 12" fan that is nearly SILENT....yet flows 1650 CFM!
Full ballbearing construction, and is only $85 from Summit...
EDIT: oh yes, and it is push/pull style.

Re: Question about the stock Fan (flat-blk-HB)
and for cooling...i'm sure stock fans are between 600-800 RPMs which is good for upto like 175 hp engines..any of these fans you get are at least 1200...i think my SPAL is like 1500 or something and it's the thinnest fan i've found, smaller than anything at summit

Re: Question about the stock Fan (RyanAutry)
so do the push fans help out on cooling, or is it just for room?
Just for room.
