Default Need HELP ASAP!!! H22a --> EG ECU wiring!!

ok, my engine is in, I just need to change the ECU wire harness for the ECU. For example... the knock sensor is in D3, but that goes to the heated 02 sensor... so where do I move that? Any help would be great!

Thanks!!

PS: I extended all the wires for the harness, and I have a 92 si, so I dont have to wire up vtec.

Heater wire for the O2 is A6 and not D6. In fact, D6 is for the VTEC pressure switch and the knock sensor is D3.

oops, I typed that wrong. so when I wire up the knock sensor, I wire it from the sensor to D3 (but in the wire harness, the white wire in D3 went to the heated 02 sensor), so then I move the white wire that was at D3 to A6?... then were does A6 go? know what I mean?

I have this to follow, but dont really understand it.

WIRES TO BE ADDED-

EGR VALVE LIFT SENSOR-

RED/WHITE TO D19
WHITE/BLACK TO D12
GREEN/WHITE TO GREEN/WHITE ON THOTTLE POSITION SENSOR.

EGR CONTROL SOLONOID VALVE-

RED TO A11
BLACK/YELLOW TO BLACK/YELLOW ON EVAP PURGE CONTROL SOLONED VALVE

AIR BY PASS-

BLACK /YELLOW TO BLACK/YELLOW ON VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR
PINK TO A17

KNOCK SENSOR-

RED/BLUE TO D3

sorry, I just dont understand it.

Ok. sorry you're all confused. Let me clear it up for you.

For O2 sensor:

WHT wire goes to D14 which is O2 Sensor Input (needs to be a shielded wire with ground)
BLK wire goes to A6 which is Heater Control
GRN wire goes to D22 which is Sensor Ground
BLK wire goes to B1 or A25 which is Sensor voltage

VTEC Wiring:
- add wire to VTEC oil pressure sensor for ground (tap into Grn/Wht wire), ECU Signal leading to D6 pin-out on ECU and VTEC solenoid valve to ECU leading to A4 pin-out on ECU

Knock sensor:
- Knock Sensor (mounted at rear of engine near cyl head), add wire to harness to ECU Signal leading to D3 on ECU

EGR:

EGR lift valve solenoid – sensor voltage (tap into Yel/Wht wire) & ECU signal to A11 (on VX, tap into Red wire from firewall)

- EGR lift sensor – sensor voltage (tap into Yel/Wht wire), ground (tap into Grn/Wht wire) & ECU Signal to D12 (for VX, tap into Wht/Blk from firewall)

Brandon, when you say tap to Yel/Wht wire, which wire does that go to? Im seeing that it goes to the TP sensor in my helms diagram . Is that the correct wire?
ANd how do you know which is the Sensor voltage and Signal wire(lets say it for valve solenoid) . SO if i wire all these EGR up , i wont get a CEL?

Most singal wires are green/white, while most sensor voltage wires are yellow/black. Good writeup Brandon.

hey, thanks a lot! I already have vtec wired because I had a sohc vtec engine, so the vtec wires should be fine correct? Also, I wasn't going to wire up the EGR valve... I heard a few times that I dont have to with the JDM ecu... any info on that? Also, I already have a 4 wire 02 sensor, so if I am correct with my previous assumptions, all I have to do is wire up the knock sensor?

Just a quick dumb question... physically, how do I do the wiring... for example... I just have to cut the wire that goes into the harness at D3 then just splice it in there?

you guys are the greatest!

I still don't understand how to wire up the EGR valve and Solenoid. I am using a plug from my old harness and the colours do not match with the colours I have to tap into.

EGR Lift Sensor (Tap into YEL/WHT), Ground (Tap into GRN/WHT), EGR signal to D12 (on VX, tap into WHT/BLK from firewall)

What wire off the sensor taps into the YEL/WHT..etc..Is it like read left to right. And if so, What would be the first one, the one you look at when the plug is not plugged in and you look at it from the plug side, or when it is plugged in and is it the first wire on the left when you look at it from the top.
