Default Well the y8 intake swap is done *pics*

Here is the final product. It's pretty much a straight bolt on. The only vacuum line that i extend was the EVAC line. I plugged that in to the cruise control vacumm ports, since the EVAC nozzle for the Y8 is four times bigger compare to the a6 port. I also rewired and relocate my ITP sensor, since there is no port hole in the Y8 for the ITP. So I tapped the ITP sensor underneath my intake tube, just close enough to my tb. The rest is straight forward.
Here some parts you need when doing this swap
-Y8 intake manifold gasket(new)
-Y8 fuel rail(make sure you use your a6 injectors)
-y8 throttle cable bracket
-y8 FPR
-B&M adj fpr + gauge
- Y8 throttle body. Your A6 tb will not bolt up with the y8 manifold. The good part is you can use any b series TB I myself running a 91 teg ls tb wohooo.

The result is very noticeable. My midrange acc and top end really improves dramatically compare to the a6 manifold! Especially, when i'm cruising at 4k rpm and punch all the way down wohoooo!

P.S. I'm running a stage 1 crane cam so it will vary the result..

Nice job man! Looks good. So it was worth it? We basically have the same setup so would you suggest I do this?

Yes it's an EX manifold, and just like mr skelly said make sure you get the manual y8 manifold. It's because, the IACV sensor for automatic has a diff connector i believe and it's located right on the TB. Where as the y8 mani it's plug n play and the IACV is located at the back of the manifold.

looks good...so did you end up getting the a6 fuel line on the y8 fuel rail? i cant wait to get mine going. i just sent my cam out delta for a new grind. heres what my setup will be:

B18A 58mm TB
D16Y8 Intake Manifold (ported to match TB and head)
D16A6 Head (ported and milled)
D16Y8 Head Gasket (CR ~ 9.7:1)
Delta Camshaft 260 Profile (260 dur and 400 lift for int & exh)Airmass Header (ported with head)
Random Technology Cat.
DC Sports Exhaust
either PM6 ECU or PG7 ECU (i have a obd0 PR4 to try for ***** and giggles too)

Yes, it fits perfectly, just make sure you use the end cap bolt for the y8 fule rail and your all set.. I was afraid it will leak like a ****, but it was all good. No leaks at all! Did you milled your a6 by yourself or did you send to some company?

cool...i thought that looked like the a6 line in your pics.

i ported it myself....but im taking it to the machine shop to get it milled. it costs like $35. im not milling it too much cause id like to get some p29 (88-89 integra) pistons in there and run alot higher compression...but i dont want to take to motor out this year. (i just put the damn thing back in!)

Well, it's really a one day project, i would say 2 hrs less if you got all your parts already. The only bitchy about this installation is taking out the rubber hosing. Some of it really stucked really good, because of the heat and age of the hosing. So the best bet if your hosing is stucked premanently and you can see some cracks, just cut that thing and buy yourself a new hose. SInce you are taking out, might as well get some new spankin hoses. It took me 2days doing it after class at night with my lil heater inside the garage in a 20 degrees weather. I also have to buy a gasket and fabricate my throttle cable so that take some time to lol...

I will advice if your doing this set-up, take it slowly and surely. It's because your dealing with coolant fluid and gas fluid so you don't want to rush it and end up getting massive leaks! Make sure make sure, your battery is unplug!!!!

good way to heat your garage is hook up an air tite hose to your exhaust going outside. and run the car for a while...

Hahahahaha, I guess i'm cheap bastard. See, i went to Honda dealer and asked how much is the lil cable bracket that hold the throttle. They said 24 dollars I was like WTF!! So what i did was used the a6 cable bracket and and flipped it backward. Well, it's was still high for the cable, so i use a aluminimum bracket with 2 holes at the end and bend it(to flimsy). I then put the throttle bracket at the end and bolt the aluminum metal at the mani where the throttle bracket used to sit. It fit's perfectly, but it was flimsy as fock, so when I punched my car the my bracket moves and my gas pedal feel so mushy and really had a lot of slack. So i went to a junkyard to see if i can get a y8 throttle bracket, but no luck with the parts. So i asked the guy if i can check the 92-95 civic ex car they had on the pile. Well, the guys was kind enough and gave the throttle cable bracket for free. What i did is flipped it so it will sit a lil lower because it's not designed for the IM, but IMO the 92-95 bracket hold pretty damn well. I redesinged my bracket a lil and made it a lil sturdier. I will show you the pics tomorrow so you know what i'm talking about.. If you don't want to go with this route, just look in the junkyard for a 96-00 ex throttle bracket(if you get lucky) or just buy the new one at the Honda dealer. Mine works fine now..

More pics will come tomorrow for my custom throttle bracket...
