Toda Header install.
Well here goes, on Christmas Eve UPS pulls up and delivers my long awaited Toda header(damn shipping strikes). My car is already jacked up and ready to go. I'm replacing my Spoon header with the Toda because of an accident I had a lil while back that killed my header...
Well first and foremost, I have a GSR not an R, so my opinion will be a little different. Either way install was simple and easy, no problems whatsoever cept the bolts off my Spoon header were bent from my accident(see pics) and snapped off when I was unbolting them.
Performance wise, I'd like to say I should have gotten the Toda from the beginning period. Butt dyno feels more mid range and the RPM's climb up VERY smooth and VTEC crossover is more subtle than before. A bit more torque is felt going from a stop. Daily driving car has been a lot more fun the past few days simply b/c of the mid range and added torque.
Then of course you have ground clearance. As some have said and I'll say again, you'll hit your oil pan before you scrap this header. It has a good ~inch over the Spoon. You can see in some of the pics. Dyno charts coming soon...meanwhile here's some pics:
****-a-spoon and height difference of the headers
Some pics of the primaries(can you guess which one is fucked up?)
OWNED
Some more random pics

Re: Toda Header install. (dLo GSR)
New Toda looks bad ***
I can definitely see what you are talking bout now, that header doesn't look like it has much of a chance

Re: Toda Header install. (azn98R)
nice justin,
u know if ur teg wasnt so low u wouldnt have that problem of wrecking Yo headeR .
the spoonie looks alot like the JDM OE ITR header.
cant wait for my JDM ITR header to get in after being coated from jet hot.

Re: Toda Header install. (stick)
Stick - my car isn't that low! the curbs are just too high
Raging Angel - Lift oversteer...etc owned me and I ended up jumping a curb and landing in a field confused.
azn98r - ill get pics of the clearance and the height of my car as soon as i can. i have pics of the Spoon header while on the car that i'll post up soon
