Mugen exhaust pics
Just some pics of the exhaust taken last week, pre and post install. Sorry about the sloppy, dark, crappy nighttime pics of the exhaust actually on the car, but I work nights 6 days a week, so that's the only time I get to do anything. I'll try to put up some decent daytime pics later this week.
Had the car since June; was inspired to buy a Honda by my best friend's now totalled '99 SH and present 2k1 S2000.
If anyone is from around the Richmond, VA area, who does your work? I'm looking for another shop.

sweet exhaust man! I'm still saving for mine. I heard a Prelude with one a few months ago and that thing sounds AWESOME!! Maybe Santa will bring me one............ Can I ask where you got it and how much you paid? Nice plate too by the way!

wow ie been wanting to see a mugen exhaust. how does it sound? i heard they were one of the quieter one. i had a 240sx with a really loud exhaust on it before i got this car, and im sick of it. i dont want my prelude sounding like a weedwacker on steroids going down the street. i just want a quiet high performance exhaust, and i hear mugen is the way to go? do you agree? real nice looking though!!

Re: Mugen exhaust pics (95LudeSE)
I got it from King MS. It was $1038 ($975 + shipping). As for the sound, I have to admit I don't see a lot of Ludes around here, so I really don't know what other available exhausts sound like to compare it to, so....But to me it has a kind of strong, deep throaty sound to it. In lower gears it's like I can feel it more than hear it through the chassis, and when vtec kicks in, it sounds like a mix between a howl and a roar more than that annoying buzzing sound I hear so often. It does drown out what I thought was my loud CAI, so it ain't exactly quiet. I'm going to TRY and get a vid made, maybe next weekend 'cause I think it's the last time this season that the local track (VA Motorsports Park) will be open for "fun runs" on Saturday mornings (you'll all get to see me get my head handed to me by 2 of my friend's s2000's ; maybe I'll be able to put it up soon.

Love your exhaust man! Does anyone know if the Mugen exhaust would be good for a turbocharged prelude? Because I really really want the Mugen exhaust but I'm saving for a Greddy Turbo Kit w/ FMIC right now.

The Mugen exhaust sounds incredible! I am saving for the header and exhaust, damn it's a pretty penny!

I got a chance to put up some better quality daytime pics today. Anyway, according to the Mugen 2k2 catalog, the piping is 60.5 mm, just under 2.5 inches. From what I've heard that's too small for turbo applications...

The install took less than 20 minutes, start to finish.
To each his own. Personally, I think you're completely and hopelessly insane, but that's IMHO. Even if you hated its' looks, the quality and workmanship are tight and hell, the sound alone would sell it. By the way, what kind of exhaust do you have?
Anyway, like I said earlier, to each his own. I'm not exactly feeling the RS kit, but hey, that's just me
i guess i'm the only person who thinks its ugly oh well.

Re: Mugen exhaust pics (NCH22driver)
Does anybody know if a 5th Gen exhaust (Mugen) would fit a 4th gen with little to no modification? cutting and welding is not a problem as long as its not a whole lot!
Thanks,
Jonesy

Hey hey hey people, lay off the tailights! . I like 'em, they're different. Illegal, but different. And besides, if I see one more pair of Altezzas, I'll retch.

I'm pretty sure 2.5" is fine for turbo, depending on how much boost your pushing, and how big your turbo is!
