WCHC - race ready or building? - poll
Great to see the enthusiasm on the other thread! Please help us get a head count on who will be or might be participating. For license, I am thinking SCCA, NASA or Conference. Race car = a car meeting the minimum safety requirements/rules of ECHC/NASA. http://www.honda-challenge for ECHC. http://www.nasaproracing for NASA. Follow links for rules.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: WCHC - race ready or building? - poll (civicrr)
Just out of curiosity, how is the Honda scene on the west coast in terms of HPDE and racing? Over here on the better coast (and more specifically the Mid-Atlantic), there was a high concentration of Honda HPDE participants who, with some gentle nudging, decided to race. That, along with the popularity of IT in the MARRS and SARRC series, made for pretty good fields.

The Honda scene is the West Coast! Plenty of HPDE'rs. Honestly, a bunch still haven't seen the light. ie street racing.

I'm hoping there will be a class for me to run in. An ex-WC car seems to be more modified than what I see in typical NASA race cars, mainly from a chassis standpoint. I hope the classes allow for this type of situation. Is there an "ITE" style class?

We'll be working on getting all the information regarding car classes and requirements... We still have a lot to learn as well.
SCCA IT, RS and GT should be able to find a class.

There has been some rumors of HU dropped in some threads. We will have to see what ECHC does.

Neither licensed nor do I have a car, but I am planning to buy one this winter. I was looking into an IT car or possibly Pro7 but a WCHC would be more fun.
There are hardly any Hondas/Acuras at HPDE that I attend but there seem to be a lot of them autocrossing.

Man, that is a great deal. My wife would kill me.
Tommy O. is also (SVWC driver) is selling his CRX too. It has a good cage, a Quaife & a IT spec motor, etc. It is sitting up @ AIM. I think it included a spares package too.

Re: WCHC - race ready or building? - poll (johng)
I've been eyeing that car, believe me. Getting it here might be an issue as I don't have a trailer yet but that's a minor issue really.
Just gotta get the money scraped together. I'm selling all my track stuff for the Mustang at this point to raise money for the car. Hopefully it won't go anywhere.
Edit: Looks like it's sold.

if my "race" car is not fully prepped, like not all saftey requirements including roll cage, can i still race? or will i just have to run HPDE?

sorry. the car must have all the safety equipment for w 2 w racing. this would include the driver's gear.
