I doubt theres much performance in just a universal muffler... just noise.

Especially on an accord.. you dont have the best engine to work with, Id suggest against it, unless you want to sound like a ricer

ok, well, my motor is completely worked, and i can currently do the 1320 in fourteen flat, with a full interior. it will give me the performance that i need, and the horsepower i am looking for. i already have complete mandrel bent going from the header back.

You have a mandrel bent exhaust from the header back with no muffler on the end of it? just a tip? Or you have an OEM muffler on a mandrel bent cat back?

In scenario #1 a muffler will rob you of power.

In scenario #2 it will free up some.

Mufflers dont make power.

jezter, i sell 5Zigen products... i have a 5Zigen Fireball catback on my 94 Accord and it's nice... i'd recommend that you get the catback but if you say that you already got mandrel bent piping (like 2.25" for example), a 5Zigen Fireball muffler should be fine... you probably will want the NA (naturally aspirated) version instead of the TC (turbocharged) version of the muffler... there's a difference in 5Zigen style mufflers and real 5Zigen mufflers... hit me up at accordexchange@hotmail.com

the guy sounds really desperate for a muffler.. why not just go to pep boys and get a 20 dollar raptor muffler and call it a day.. sounds better to me than the resonating universal mufflers out there today..

ok, the fourteen second setup goes like this. first off, the motor is ported and polished. not to mention it is bored out to a 2.6l instead of the stock 2.2l. i also have crower rods, and je pistons. my compression is set up at 11:1, with nsx plug wires. not to mention an nsx distributer, rotor, and cap. full msd stand alone ignition is in place. aem cold air intake, with the passenger side blinker taken out and a one off filter adapter positioned where the blinker used to be. i also have a turbonetics t3\t4 hybrid turbo. an apexi intercooler, blitz blow off valve, and blitz fpr. spent gasses flow out of the dc sports 4-1 header, through the mandrel bent 3.5" tubing, out of the tip i have on it. after i get the muffler, my plan is to add an nx nos fogger setup, with three 150 shot tanks. one for the fogger, one for the intercooler, and one for the intake manifold. i also have double gasketed seals on the motor. now, if you do not believe that my setup runs fourteen seconds, then drive down here to atl, and i will prove it to you. mind you, the car is being sold within the next three weeks. its time to work something else.

first off, the motor is ported and polished.
You mean the head?
not to mention it is bored out to a 2.6l instead of the stock 2.2l.
Cool.
my compression is set up at 11:1, with nsx plug wires.
That's pretty high. Why the NSX wires?
not to mention an nsx distributer, rotor, and cap.
This does not compute.
full msd stand alone ignition is in place.
MSD distributor and a NSX distributor as well? Does not compute.
aem cold air intake, with the passenger side blinker taken out and a one off filter adapter positioned where the blinker used to be
Makes sense, I guess.
i also have a turbonetics t3\t4 hybrid turbo. an apexi intercooler, blitz blow off valve, and blitz fpr.
You cannot have a traditional CAI setup with a turbo. Make up your mind.
spent gasses flow out of the dc sports 4-1 header
No. Not with a turbo.
through the mandrel bent 3.5" tubing, out of the tip i have on it.
You would lose so much power with that massive pipe.
after i get the muffler, my plan is to add an nx nos fogger setup, with three 150 shot tanks. one for the fogger, one for the intercooler, and one for the intake manifold.
No.
i also have double gasketed seals on the motor.
Again, no.
now, if you do not believe that my setup runs fourteen seconds...
It might, but not with that bogus setup.
drive down here to atl, and i will prove it to you
Someone will take you up on this offer.
mind you, the car is being sold within the next three weeks.
You don't say.
its time to work something else.
Like your bullshitting skills.

Take a picture, prove me wrong.

ok, nsx wires, because an nsx has the compression that i am running, same with the cap rotor and distributer. and yes, i mean the head is ported and polished. i never said i had an msd distributer, just an nsd stand alone ignition, you still need a distributer with that setup. and yes, dc sports 4-1 headers do work with a turbo. the air intake is still intact, i have a custom built piping unit that comes off of it into the blinker hole, therefor adding more air into the turbo. and how do you figure it is a traditional cai setup? and no, i don't lose any power with the massive piping. i had it tested on a dyno with 3.5" piping, and 2.25" piping, and the results are exactly the same. and why do you say no to the nx setup. pick up a copy of the latest modified mag, that is the name of the rag, and read about the skyline in it. the nx setup i am using, is the same exact one on the skyline. it is a fogger system, with one for the intercooler. you see, this helps to cool off the air as it runs through the intercooler before getting to the turbo, thus making it more condensesed. the colder it is, the more power you get out of it, because there is less moisture in the air. same with putting it on the intake manifold. it cools the air again. and with the no on the double gasetted seals. well, uhm, study up a little bit. allow me to ask you something. what makes a jdm motor, aside from the fact that it is not available here? well, the answer is the gasket on the head is twice as thick as on the american motor. with this in mind, it allows for more compression inside the motor. so, if you take any motor in america, and put a double gasket on it, it is the same thickness as the jdm motor, you will be able to have a higher compression on your motor. and voila, you have your own jdm motor, without the jdm price. and quite honestly, if you think this is a bogus setup, then why is it that team begonholtz, extrude hone, and stephen papadakis have the same basic setup on thier cars, and they are running eight and nine second quarters? explain that one to me. and if i wanted to bullshit with you i would have said that it ran ten seconds. maybe you need to do some more studying on your motors and setups. but please, don't argue with someone who builds motors for a living. and as far as selling the car, and building something else, the only reason why i am selling it is because i got an offer i can't refuse on it. but, i will not be content if i sell it as is, therefor i am going to finish the initial project that was started, run it for a best time, then hand it over to the buyer. invested in the car is somewhere in the area of fifteen and twenty five thousand dollars, just in the motor. and as for a new project, well, i have my eyes on a civic. and i am convinced i can make a civic do ten seconds, with a full interior, and even some sort of media inside of it. so, until next time, enjoi!

jezter

- im sure you know that the nsx has 6 cylinders.... so how are you able to use the istributor from that car on a 4cyl engine?
so if the nsx cap doesnt work and you don't have the msd one, then what are you using..... hopes and dreams?

- sure, the DCsports 4-1 header works, if you have N-A, either that or your turbo is under your engine block. the 4-1 headers are one piece. the DC 4-2-1 could work, but turbo placement is again a problem.
if you are in fact using that header set-up on a manifold can you tell us the benefit of that versus an equal length manifold.

- double gasketed? the b18c5 is a jap motor, and i dont recall owners saying that they had to use to gaskets when they put the head back on the car.

- all the work you described does not add to 25k IMO.

- persoanlly i think you are full of ****, and i won't believe any of it until i see either the dyno slip or some pictures.

so you have almost 25k invested in this car and most of it invested in the motor and your still only running 14's. well god damn i can find a hooker that will run faster down the 1320 for 25k. I just dont see how u could invest 25k and STILL only run 14's. With a damn h22 in an accord basic bolts on I/H/E/C you should be at low 14's if not faster and thats maybe 5 grand spent on just that. If you do have all this then more power to you. I just dont see this feasible.

dc doesnt make 4-1 for accords, even if they did you turbo would have to be in place where the cat is, plus there is no ******* room down there, or am i missing something? oh yeah 11:1 and boost??? please tell me how much your boosting, and all you can get out of that setup is a 14???? cmon son, go to club si and post that garbage.

what makes a jdm motor, aside from the fact that it is not available here? well, the answer is the gasket on the head is twice as thick as on the american motor. with this in mind, it allows for more compression inside the motor
your a goddamned fucktard a thicker headgasket gives you LESS compression, moron

so, if you take any motor in america, and put a double gasket on it, it is the same thickness as the jdm motor, you will be able to have a higher compression on your motor. and voila, you have your own jdm motor, without the jdm price. and quite honestly, if you think this is a bogus setup, then why is it that team begonholtz, extrude hone, and stephen papadakis have the same basic setup on thier cars, and they are running eight and nine second quarters
well damn son, i guess the turbo and alcohol fuels have nothing to do that, ill just get myself a thicker headgasket to lower my compression, where it would in fact raise it instead

. but please, don't argue with someone who builds motors for a living.
dAmN y0. where can i get one of those majikal *thicker* jdm headgaskets of yours that increase volume and compression at the same time but ofcourse you build motors for a living, but what ******* retarded moron would have you build a motor for them?

i have my eyes on a civic. and i am convinced i can make a civic do ten seconds, with a full interior
ill tell ya you would be needing to spend more than 10-25k dollars and i hope you dont only get 13's out of that setup,

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

no, i don't lose any power with the massive piping. i had it tested on a dyno with 3.5" piping, and 2.25" piping
your an even bigger dumbass, i guess if you were 'even' turbo'd you would still run a cat right since there would be no power difference?

does the acronym CFM ring a bell, perhaps spooltime or backpreassure mean anything????

LOL, go play with your hotwheels poser.
