Who the hell would need a rear diffuser on an Integra? Is it a complete track car? if its not its just a complete waste of money. Do you guys even know what it does?

I concur, 90% of people on these boards don't know what a diffuser does, let alone need one.

Poseurs.

Hang-on a minute......

The rear diffuser is suposed to let the air move smoothly away from the rear, making it more stable. Thats the reason the Vipers need 'em.
Anything that settles the rear at high speed, has got to be a good thing.

Now weather this diffuser would actually work or not is another matter.
Later.

here is a REAL diffuser for you guys to drool over...

And a quick crash course in why they are used from Science of Speed...

The highly competitive racing NSXes in the Japan GT Championship (JGTC) GT500 series partly owe their successful circuit dominance through the underbody diffuser engineering of Dome Co., Ltd. of Japan.

Dome has developed these underbody diffusers by studying airflow dynamics of the NSX in wind-tunnel labs.

It was determined that the stock NSX has decent underbody airflow management, however, air disruption occurs from open areas under the bonnet, engine, wheel well, and exhaust areas (see diagrams below).

Similar to underbody panels found on road cars such as the Ferrari 360 Modena and F50, the panels placed on the JGTC GT500 series racing NSXes stabilize the airflow under the car, resulting in an aerodynamic surface that works in conjunction with the front canards, spoiler, and various ground effects to achieve optimum down force.

JGTC inspired under body diffusers are available for your street NSX from ScienceofSpeed. Products such as the JGTC Front Underbody Diffuser, JGTC Front Canards, JGTC Front Bumper, JGTC GT500 Style Rear Spoiler, and JGTC Rear Underbody Diffuser are race derived for use on your NSX.

Note that aerodynamic modifications to your NSX alters the handling characteristics, especially at high speed.

BDiddy: Great pictures!!
Thank Sciece of speed and Honda Pics? WHat about the info?
Also notice the complete and sheer ugliness of a REAL diffuser. As always, function is uglier than fashion. But i kinda like it. Gives off that race look. Only if I had the 3.5L 500HP JGTC engine kit in my NSX would I put it on.

Its too bad that a diffuser will only work properly if you get rid of the spare tire well. If you look to see where the bumper sits and where the bottom of the spare tire well sits, its about the same. There will be air turbulance at that point so a diffuser wouldn't do a whole lot unless you cut out your well and weld a piece of sheetmetal there instead, its also a good weight reduction
