Hey so am getting a code 4 on my mpfi swap. I got a 89 hatchback, am using a obd1 intake and p28 computer. I haven't had a chance to change the head over so am still running a non vtec head. Am only getting two codes 21 obviously cuz I don't have vtec yet. And 4? Which is a crank sensor code. My engine doesn't have a crank sensor? I have a brand new distributor on. Could it be cuz I haven't swapped on the y8 head n am running a p28 computer? Any help would be great.

4 year old thread???
the crank sensor is inside the distributor - could be in the wiring - is the new distributor an aftermarket piece? - some aftermarket distributors have the orange and white crank sensor wires switched inside the distributor

Hey sorry to bring up an old post. Am using a stock dizzy off a 94 dx. The vtec dizzy wouldn't even turn it on. I already swapped in the y8 head an am still getting the crank sensor code. It boggs out super bad when I give it gas. I already put new wires in. I switched c1 and c2 and it still runs the same. Am getting spark in all 4 wires. I have no idea what could be wrong.
