i have it on a the service manual. if you need it. but did you try removing the cruise contol buttons.
I just replaced mine in the steering wheel and dash because i crashed my bb6. i used to own a 4th gen and own the electronic manual. let me know if that didnt help and if you need me to upload the images from the cd.

There is actually a torx screw underneath a little "panel" on the right side of the steering wheel. I can't really remember exactly what it looks like but it is like a little square piece that looks like it can be pried off. I actually broke mine off because I installed an aftermarket steering wheel. Hope that helps.

okay, there is a panel on the bottom of the steering wheel, remove the panel. disconnect the srs sensor (yellow connector). remove the torx bit on the left side of the steering wheel. turn the steering wheel 180 deg. and remove the cruise control buttons outer panel (it will break easily, be carefull). there is the other torx bit under that panel. remove the torx bit and then the air bag will come off. if your trying to remove the stering wheel, disconnect the rest of the sensors and clock spring and the steering wheel bolt. then you can remove the steering wheel. if it wont come off after you remove the center bolt, hit the outside of the sttering wheel with your hands to try to break it loose, it will come off. hope that helps you out

its tough, and it might break (mine did). you just have to pry it off. its the outter panel that goes around the cruise control buttons, it covers the buttons. good luck
