92-96 Prelude Logo Needed - For New Floor Mats
This post is being edited to reflect the progress of the Thread:
November 30th
They're done! First pics available here:
http://www.dstuning.com/92_96_...s.asp
more pics will come with the other logos as we progress
November 13th
The Logos have been completed and we're expecting the first demo sets in about a week. Logos for your viewing pleasure
A logo has been supplied by Hawkze_2.3. Thanks! However there seems to be a very mild difference between the OEM mats and the logo. Example:
OEM Mats: (large 'P'?)
Provided logo: (font all even sized)
Personally I think that the provided logo looks great - but sadly I dont own a 92-96 Prelude and am not qualified to make this assesment. Input?
Original Post:
Hi guys. Ever since we started making floor mats for the Honda CRX and Civic - we've been getting bombarded with requests from Prelude owners for mats for their cars as well.
(see our previous project here)
https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1
Just for reference (and so you can can be confident that we're really going to take this and make something great) here's the pics of the finished product for the Civic guys:
I've finally broken down and set some time aside to get mats created for you guys, but I cannot seem to find a good digital file of the logo for the 92-96 Prelude.
It seems that the early 90s and 80s vehicles simply dont have as many digital files floating around.
I would REALLY appreciate it if you guys could help us find one. For the early Civics we actually ended up finding some old advertizing pamphlets in order to get the logo we needed. Let me know if you guys can help! We'd love to have these wrapped up by mid November for you guys.
We also need a logo for the 88-91 Preludes if you happen to have one.

I have a dealer broshure from '95 and some Prelude model kits that have the logo printed on them. Would it work if I scanned that in?

That might be exactly what we need! Like I said that's what we ended up using for the early Civics. If you could scan it I would love to see them.
I assume it's scripted text like the OEMs?

Re: 92-96 Prelude Logo Needed - For New Floor Mats (Hawkze_2.3)
I think that might actually work. I have another question for you guys. Obviously we would get smacked if we slapped a HONDA emblem logo on our mats (to match the OEM mats). I'm sure it would cost a rediculous amount of money to license that
What if we digitized this for the passenger side mat?
Input would be greatly appreciated as it costs us $100 for every logo we have the factory digitize into their embroidery machine

No kidding - this was WAY faster than the Civic guys. We had to search through all kinds of crap to find some of their logos in the end we got it done - but it took way longer.

Maybe we'll make the DOHC Vtec passenger logo an option. Afterall - we can use it on the 97-01 Preludes as well.
They're very thick - actually thicker and better quality than OEM. We've been doing this for many years now and I can tell you that that has never been a concern from our customers. We take great pride in our product and dont skimp on the materials to turn a buck (we make about $5 on each set)
If you want to see some of the other ones we've done:

Re: (Sakanora)
Of course - these are being designed to perfectly replace the OEM mats. By the time we're done with them and ready they will look almost exactly like new OEM mats
We wouldn't put so much money and effort into logos for the mats if we weren't going to put them on a mat that is perfect too!
If anyone can comment on the difference between the logo template we have been given and the OEM mats I would really love to hear from you guys. While we can indeed just use the one we've been provided - I want to know if it's really going to be what you guys want.

Every single set is made to order. When we're ready with these, you'll be able to choose your mat color - logo color - logo orientation - edging color. Pretty much everything.

Re: 92-96 Prelude Logo Needed - For New Floor Mats (Acidcrakker)
When they're ready, these will cost just the same as the mats for the Civic CRX guys etc.
Typical Order:
Front Mats: $47.99
Add logos: $13
Add Rears: $20
Yalls mats will run the same pricing as the Civic ones shown here:

I'll certainly keep everyone in the loop.
If you guys have any input about the actual OEM mat logo and the one we have shown above - let me know. We'll work through it this week and get the logo rolling by this weekend if we dont have any better OEM scans / pictures.

I assume you're refering to a different logo? (as the cut would still be the same, correct?)
If you have a logo please post it here and I'd love to work with it and get input from everyone else.
