need help.. 7al-2 plus ignition and datalogging in the S300 freezes up?
hey whats up, need some help here... im using the msd 7al-2 plus ignition and we were adjusting the fuel and ignition maps at idle and the datalogging in the S300 freezed up on the laptop. if we put back the stock ignition its fine.... i know the stock ignition can support up to 600 whp but were looking to make 700 to 750 at the wheels.. so i need the msd ignition...so does anyone know how to get around the freeze up? or what should i do/look for?? ..

I had the same problem with resistor type plugs in my car and I called Hondata and they said to put the stock distributor back on.. But most people need an aftermarket ignition after 650whp..
What are the SFWD guys running Hondata doing to overcome this problem???

Make sure that the MSD box and coil are mounted away from the ECU. That will cause issues with the car, EMS.

i have the msd 7al-2 mounted near the fire wall (as you can see in the pic).. should it be moved away from the ecu?
