Default Cam Identification

I've searched and searched and found lots of info etc. but I haven't found any way to detirmine the difference between 89-91 B16A cams (what my motor would have stock) and 94+ B18C1 Cams (what I was told my motor has).

you have B16 cams.

are you trying to figure out what type of cams you have, or the spec/duration of each cam?

Trying to figure out what cams those are. It wasn't a selling point or anything I acctually was told long after I bought the car but I was told it had GSR cams, they obviously are not anything other than 94+ GSR cams or 89-91 SiR cams (according to the pics of the ends I've seen). It's not a big deal I'm just curious.
So you're sure they're just B16A cams?

yes, you look at the rings on the end, the bulky smooth rings are B16, a ring and groove would be GSR. from the picture/link you provided.

you indeed have B16 cams.

in this picture, between the [ ] marks, shows you the difference.

if you look closely at the same area, there are like two little lips on the GSR cams.

on your intake cam, you DONT have the two little lips, making it a B16 cam.

i might have an extra set of GSR cams for sale pretty soon. how soon do you need them?

Aha! I wondered if thats what it was, I thought on the GSR cam pic that was just the slight bevel on the edge not an acctual lip.
As for how soon I need them, really? I don't need them lol, but depending on how much they cost I may pick some up.

As much as it makes me sound like a ricer, the VTEC on that motor was really loud, since those are just stock gen 1 SiR cams (smallest b-series cam profile evar lol) I wonder why that was... lol
