How to: Valve seal removal
I was in the process of getting ready to finish up my head and when I began to do my valve seals, I went to HT to look up how to do it..... and came back with absolutely nothing. So after conferring with several other people I eventually came up with my own way to do it.
You will need:
-heat gun or I guess a torch, whichever does it for you
-pliers, I found that my needle nose ones worked good
Hi I'm your valve seals
I would like to come out
Heat the seals with your heat gun.
Now take your pliers and work your magic
If you can't get it off, try heating it some more. It's ok to burn them a tiny bit, I won't tell anyone
This is what they'll look like when you are done
mmm clean and yummy
Not too difficult if a girl can do it

How long did it take you to remove all the valve seals?? Im considering to do this when I pull my head in a few months after I smog and get ready for a head build instead of taking it in somewere. Are you going with any aftermarket valvetrain??

I found a 10mm deep and a rubber mallet works as well. Tap them lightly until you hear/feel solid so you know they are seated fully. And I use an adj. pliers also do not use heat.
