Re: SAMCO INTAKE??? (Mugen Mike)
I can vouch for lower temps and a smoother intake air flow with a very similar product which I installed on my Tow Vehicle. Basicaly the same thing just 4" and made to fit my Cummins Diesel. I will try this on the ITR.

It's a pretty neat part. We've got them available in black, red, and blue so you can bling out your engine bay.
You will need to supply your own clamps. I am workin right now to source some high quality spring loaded t-bolts.

Gotta love the in depth analysis. He probably doesn't like blue.

I agree that his statement is quite vague. However, my suspicion is that he probably feels this tubing will provide minimal performance improvement over the stock piece, which is in all likelihood true.

Ignore him. He was just trying to get his post count up so he can go play in Appearance & Cosmetic where he belongs.

I will be dyno testing it with a Mugen intake- not that I expect huge gains, but nevertheless I'll do it for the peanut gallery.

I did install it on my EG which has a Mugen intake. It fit perfectly - I went with the red one for the super bling factor.

I'm guessing this thing has two benefits, in order of importance: Bling and heat isolation.
Isn't the stock arm pretty adequate in the second department? Hell, it's plastic!
