OMG... another turbo EF hatch
I guess everybody else has one so I'll try and fit in.
I decided that I was going to turbo my car last year, but being on a college buget, I just started yesterday. I have all the shitty NA stuff off and im just fitting everything else.
So far my project consist of a 91 si hatch with a SOHC ZC. I'm thowing on a .42/.48 t3 from a saab using a HF mani with a adaptor plate. IC is a CCA (pre-sell out), and shitty second hand piping. Management will be TE for a couple of months untill I figure out my OBD0-1 harness
I'm doing all of this at my parents house and they have dialup so pics might take a while.
Stay tuned for pics

Re: (turboLSef)
dial up sucks..... hard
here they are, shitty cell phone pics. Top shot, the turbo is tilted so i can keep the internal wastegate, which turned out to be a huge hassle
Cold side is not clocked yet but you can see some of the metal I cut out. Yes that is silver spray paint. It was the only light colored paint i had, so I can see oil leaks better
Oil sandwich for the pressure sender and my turbo feed
DSM 450's, blacktop bitches
Aluminum flywheel, it's an old school findaza or some **** like that.
Plently of room for 2.5 inches of stainless steel goodness

I"ve got a 4' piece of 2.5" gates. I may have some 2" pieces already cut, how many do you need (I'll dig through the "Crate-o-miscellaneous couplers & bends" box tonite).

anytime you un-torque your head bolts you need a new gastket, if you un-torque your bolts un evenly you risk warping your head. bad idea

Re: (775rex89si)
I got my intercooler back from my fab shop. everything looks good except he painted it glossy black. It was originaly Flat black.
While i was trying to cut out some of my bumper so my ic would fit, my right index finger "fell" into the angle grinder. It cut it prety bad. I got a couple stitches. I gotta get some gloves now

Damn, that sucks man. I came pretty damn close to my hand being in the bench grinder a couple days ago when I was grinding down my valve spring compressor so it would work, to be honest im suprised my hand didnt hit it or get sucked/stuck in it. It was one of those "damn that was to close to not happen"......incidents. Sometimes I just think stuff like that is one of those safety checks that life or w.e throws yah. sorry about the finger though man that sucks. GL on the build
