Lightweight Battery
Im looking into Odyssey batteries, I wanted to know what is the lightest one that will provide enough wattage to turn the car over,especially on cold mornings.

Get an Odyssey PC-680. 
Very thin and light (for a battery) and mine cranks my car over like any other large battery.
You can pick them up at Batteries+ stores if you have any near you.

Only thing is you live in TX i live in PA. It gets pretty cold here, does that battery have enough cold cranking amps ?

Something that I had just thought of. I was watching one of those car shows and they were breaking a newer CTS-V I think and remember seeing the battery with a wrap around it. Kinda like an insulator.
So I was thinking that if you do end up with one of these smaller batteries and are worried about the cold cranking. Maybe fab up a little insulator blanket for it.....?

That little battery looks clean in there! You really can see the suspension rebound when you take the stock one out. It blew my mind when I saw that. LOL!

i th\ink ib ought it for 70-90$ including terminals off ebay
got creative w/ the mounts.. haven't had a problem since... can remove battery in less than 5 mins

Well if its ok in colorado im sure ill be ok in Pa. Where did u run ur wire under the passenger side panel and through the same hole as the wiring harness ?

the odyssey seems like a good deal. i saw a T1R that was $180 and said it offers great cranking power. but i dont have any personal experience with them.

Mine is mounted in the trunk and I ran the wire through the same gromett as the wire harness then back to the trunk.

Also if anyone has a picture of their battery mounted in the trunk that would help. Because I think that one i posted before looks cool but idk where a flat place to mount it would be.

if ur gonna relocate it, might as well keep stock battery for power...

I had a Braille battery die on me after a year or so, but that thing was rediculously small. My first 680 lasted 2 years with a bad alternator and daily driving.
And it really is pointless to put a lightweight battery in the trunk...you can find a place in your bay.

is there an option just alittle bigger than the 680 for a little more DDing security. Don't want to be stranded because of a battery... although it could be worse.
