Default [DIY] Painted Pinstriping Removal. 94 Civic EJ1. 56k NO!

Well this might not be the greatest DIY but I am very pleased and I know that I am very happy to see this pinstriping come off. And let me note im not even sure if this is a civic thing or just my car but I have a pink with a light blue pinstripe down the side of my car and after attempting to remove some overspray from my car and tried it and sure enough they came right off. I will post the final pictures later. And please note this is not a damn sticker, this is painted on so this coming off without even disturbing the paint around it is odd to me. Any input would be great. Thanks
Before

Step 1: Go to your local auto parts store and pick up Meguairs Scratch X Remover.

Step 2: Using a terry cloth towel or a waxing pad, which I tried both and both worked, I applied a small amount of the product to parts of the pinstripe at a time.

Step 4:Very roughly using your elbow grease, move back and forth in small areas focusing on the area. I also applied more Meguiars to my towel at this time.

Step 5: Continue this process until you are done, I did a good amount in 30 mins, and had to stop because my fingers were very sore, but do a little more each day and it should all come off. With just 30 mins I had great success. Good luck!
FINAL

He just said its a painted pinstripe not a sticker, however im liking the results of the scratch x, even though i heard some negative feedbacks, i might try it myself it looks like it did a wonderful job for you

I think you would have to follow it up with more than this. I think to take the fine lines u will see without the stripe you would have to use a nice polish and then a cheap 3 step by meguiars to seal the paint.
