DIY Window trim & Wiper blades (restore to black)
I've seen alot of cars around that have the window trim ripping off or fading to chrome. It doesn't seem like its worth it to buy it from the dealer so I decided to paint it instead.
Window trim
What you need
-Trim Paint
-Acetone (optional)
-Sandpaper (I used 800 grit)
-Microfiber towels (any towels should work)
-Painters tape
-Razorblade
So here it is, the chrome part
Now take a razor blade and try to cut off all the excess parts that are ripping
and BAM!
Now sand it down, then use acetone to wipe off all the dirt and what not
Now have fun with the painters tape!
Ready for paint!
1st coat
2nd coat
and Ta-da!
Windshield wiper arm
What you need
-Sandpaper
-Trim paint
-Acetone (optional)
the fugly faded to chrome wiper arm
painted it
and Ta-da!
Also painted the sideskirt & mudguards
Enjoy!

i always do windshield wipers to all my cars whenever it turns to chrome and you motivated me to do my window trim today. it was a bad experience...
i bought the trim paint my brother told me he had sandpaper but he didnt. i said f it and didnt prep it at all except for taping and putting up papers from the current dell catalog and i bagged the sideview mirror and sprayed.
problem one. i really should have sanded it looks like **** with the old paint thats still there.
problem two. i missed a spot taping and accidentally sprayed the driver side mirror a little black. and my car is midori green
problem three. i got owned by a gust of wind and overspray and the passenger side quarter panel got paint on it but i wiped it off as fast as i could and i got it all off i think.
over all experience id rate it a D- hahahahah. it looks good at night though.
