My civic (pics inside)
I'm just posting pictures to see how people like my setup, and also wondering ; can I fit an aftermarket header without hitting the radiator (fan to be exact)? Anyone know how much further any of the aftermarket headers stick out at the top versus the USDM itr header?

Re: My civic (mackymcg)
Switch back to a crx radiator and you will free up about 1.5 -2 inches for the radiator. The crx one is plenty large enough for the r motor. When you say aftermarket header you need to be more specific, Smsp, hytec. or do you mean like dc, type one, ect, ect. Make sure you get a header with at least a 2.5 in collector if you plan on modding that motor.(and a 2.5 custom exhaust). My Smsp header will not clear my stock radiator fan with my stock or my fluidyne radiator. But a slimline fan might work.
By the way , nice sleeper You should buy my my white si shell so you can have the white bumpers and si interior and brakes

Re: My civic (89SivicHatch)
89SivicHatch - more of a convienence thing for me to get the car running quicker than anything else, I had them from the ITR and so all the old components (Headlights, radio) had their fuse boxes and the new components (ECU, gauge) had their own. I'm planning on taking that number down to 2 pretty soon, clean up my install.

Very nice install.... Is the ITR cluster a bolt-in or did you have to mess with stuff to get it to fit (not talking wiring, just physical fit)?

Re: My civic (meept)
4thGsi - I've suprised no-one, haven't raced anyone in it, though I've suprised many a tailgater. I never rev on people, and people never rev on me, guess because of the way it looks (or doesn't look)
meept - I had to trim one side of the ITR cluster(the ear where it screws onto the dash), remove the old gauge mounts, and screw from the underside of the 91's gauge cover through it, to the ear that sits on top of the ITR gauge. After that I used 2 pieces of foam tape on the sides next to the temp and fuel gauge so light would not leak through. It's more of a force fit than anything else, but I found with the screw through the top and the foam tape it doesn't have any rattles.

Re: My civic (91cvcsi)
91cvcsi - With the OBDII wiring, stuff like speedo, tach, temp, CE light, oil lamp, batt, were all plug and play. The things I had to wire in from the old gauge were
- Turn signal indicators
- High beam
- Door open
- hatch open
- e-brake light
- fuel gauge
there's an old post on the hybridforum.net pages that list the pin numbers for the ITR gauge, I have it on another computer, i'll try and get it up later today.

Nice car...As soon as the window opened up I saw the car and instantly pushed the back button. Then I decided to go back and look at the rest of the pics. Wow an ITR swap. Very nice.

Like the old school Honda OEM rims look on that car. I'm to the point to where I'm liking that style better than aftermarket stuff.

Re: My civic (Hcivic88)
Kilohead36 - I have a roll on CD i'm supposed to pick up that I believe has more detail shots. I'll also borrow a friend digi-cam and show the modifications I did.
Hcivic88 - They are rims, the lugs are underneath the very large "H" centers caps. 14"s w/ Dunlop SP Sport D87m tires
CR-X - I'll write up a little info guide on the hydro tranny, when I can remember all the small things(and there is a ton of those) so people aren't stranded missing one part they don't know about.

Re: My civic (mackymcg)
How did you do the hydro trans? Just plumb in the resevour, use the integra clutch parts like hydro line, clutch cylinder and pedal (anything I missed)?

Re: My civic (technine)
technine - It's coming back to me in slow burst now, but yeah, that's the basic parts list. There is also a step-down for the clutch line (top of fuse box pic), and of course, bending skills. The other work was -
-Remove driver's side venting(left airvent + window vent no longer active, tape hole in center vent assm leading to where these used to be)
-Drill hole in firewall so end of pedal assm. sticks into engine bay
- Drill hole in lip on firewall (see where tube is in the reservoir pic), you can fit and run the line from the pedal to the reservoir without this step, but most likely the hole you made in the firewall will cut tube, happened to me and I went mad before I figured out
There's is more stuff I know than that, still recalling the small stuff
