I asked them and they said YES it will work with stock catback or aftermarket catbacks. They need somebody here in Dallas to test fit the header at their expense.

Get to keep the header! Too bad I don't have an 06 Civic or I'll be all over it. They are located in Dallas, Tx north of Dallas at Addison.

Yep that's it. I've gotten a closer look at them and it looks possible. I guess we'll see what happens with the next months and years... I think it's going to be hard to beat the flow of that head N/A though.

that prototype looks more like a gutted cat than a header...

Head is integrated...this would confuse the masses. Calling it a test pipe would be better.

Good point. So if this is a test pipe what do you do about the check engine light and your warrantry?
Sounds like there are a few more questions to be awnsered now.

More info is needed.

Me and my pal gutted his 04 TL Cat/Downpipe (single port setup also for those that didnt know) but we cannot get around the CEL.

He has tried O2 simulators with no luck.
The LAF sensors seem to be impossible to get by.

Keep us updated.

Just talked to them and they said they will arrange Matchless Performance here in Dallas (former Velocity Performance) to have the car dynoed with stock header and then install the Pro-1 header and dyno it again. Once the car is on the lift they will also make an O2 simulator for it. The final production should also come with a O2 simulator.

They will give the person $100 for the use of their car and maybe a free or at least half price for the header once the final production are made. Anybody interested in the Dallas/fw area call them 888-810-0888.

I'm talking to one of their managers. We need to hammer out a time on when I can drive up to Dallas (from Austin). I work weekdays and they don't have staff on weekends, so we'll see.

Where are the details of that dyno run ?
Was that with the stock exhaust ?
Or open after the downpipe ?

And it says it SHOULD have a working o2 simulator ?

Great work, we just need more info.

wow......i forgot to give alot if info. I haven't had a chance to double check my info but i believe we ran it on a Dynojet 224x. It feed right into the stock exhaust. If you had a second to look at the stock exhaust you'll notice that for the most part it is completely straight, but fairly thin compared the the Top Speed Pro-1 header. There is a suspected leak through the O2 sensor mount. Which accounts for the un-godly loud "piff sound".

Good work.

This would work well with my 2.5 inch exhaust.
